Kate Moss’s good and bad side both unleashed for W magazine

Newly married Kate Moss appears to have toned down her bad girl image these days, so imagine our surprise when we heard it had once again been unleashed for W magazine.

Photographed by Steven Klein and styled by Edward Enniful, Kate Moss sports a lace Vera Wang dress and white Erdem habit for the angelic cover, and a black Gucci silk georgette dress for the other…. both stunning covers in their own rights.

Kate Moss’s latter look was less rock and roll/bad Sandy and more Lady Gaga, as the model’s cheekbones are so defined it looks like she borrowed some of Mother Monster’s beloved facial prosthetics(remember them?).

We have to say that we are drawn to the “bad Kate” cover more and think it is, in actual fact, less eerie than the “good Kate” one, but we know opinions will be divided, so let us know which one you prefer…

Kate Moss launches Mango spring/summer 2012 collection, looks stunning at London photocall, stars in fun commercial

Kate Moss has been revealed as the face of Mango’s spring/summer 2012 collection, looking fresh-faced and fabulous in the Spanish label’s latest ad campaign shot by renowned photographer (and Kate’s good friend) Terry Richardson.

“I’m really excited to be working with Mango for S/S 2012,” Kate said. “We had a great time shooting the campaign, the team are so easy to work with and shooting with Terry is always fun.”

There’s only one way to launch such an exciting collaboration, and that’s to head to the flagship Mango store in London’s Oxford Street (dressed in the finest and newest Mango attire, naturally) for a highly exclusive photocall.

A very sleek and chic looking Kate Moss posed for the lucky members of the press – signature pout included – which you can see a picture of below.

And you didn’t think Mango was going to let Kate get away without starring in a TV ad, did you? So popular was her Parisian ‘Great Escape’ video with Uncle Terry last season that Mango asked her to make a commercial entitled ‘Spy Game’, the results of which you can also see below.We do spoil you!

We think this is a partnership made in heaven, don’t you?

Are Kate Moss and daughter Lila Grace creating a tween range for Debenhams?

Who doesn’t love a bit of casual hearsay just before Christmas? A host of blogs and publications are speculating that, akin to a lot of celebrities this year, Kate Moss will once again be jumping on the collaborative bandwagon, this time teaming up with her very beautiful nine-year-old daughter Lila Grace to create a tweenage clothing range.

The pair will reportedly be working with British department store Debenhams for the range which has been rumoured to launch in the summer.

“Lila is adamant the range will be very traditional and English rose-esque in feel,” a source apparently told the Daily Mirror newspaper. “Lila doesn’t want to produce chavvy clothes. Kate and Lila Grace will get cracking on designs over the festive period, mulling over ideas at Kate’s Cotswolds’ pad.”

Before you get all excited though, we’d like to point out that there are also a number of publications that believe the story is completely false, with Elle UK and Fashion Etc getting in contact with Debenhams, who apparently denied the collaboration was happening.

But if history has taught us anything, it’s that you won’t always get the truth if the timing isn’t right. Remember how many times Sarah Burton denied she was making Kate Middleton’s wedding dress?

Maybe Debenhams was hoping to make a big announcement in the new year or the minor details are still being ironed out? Either way… we’ll say no more.

Kate Moss’s Fred campaign accused of plagiarising David Yurman

Remember those ultra stunning pictures of Kate Moss modelling her own Fred jewellery we showed you a few weeks ago? They’ve now come under fire as jewellery designer David Yurman accuses the Croydon supermodel of plagiarising his spring/summer 2011 campaigns.

Turns out that Kate Moss was the star of Yurman’s SS11 ads shot by Peter Lindbergh earlier in the year, and he’s claiming Kate’s new Fred campaign is strikingly similar.

“The Fred campaign is embarrassingly similar to the one David Yurman ran a year ago,” a spokesperson for David Yurman told Page Six. “When you are a leader in your category, you get used to people copying you. We are confident consumers know the difference.”

Ouch. Although we won’t deny that there are similarities, one very important question has been raised, not only at MFL HQ but in the blogosphere as a whole: how many ways can one person model a selection of rings? Answers on a postcard.

Kate Moss models her own Fred jewellery in these breathtaking ad campaigns

Isn’t Kate Moss utterly gorgeous? We know that’s stating the obvious, but it never hurts to reiterate it from time to time. The British supermodel looks absolutely breathtaking in the adverts for Fred jewellery, which were shot by Sonia Sieff – one of her best ad campaigns this year if we may say so.

The new Mrs Hince always pulls it out the bag, but we understand why she may have wanted to kick it up a notch this time round, seeing as the campaign is for the jewellery she designed herself.

Kate’s enviable golden locks, smoky eyes and signature pout are the perfect combination for these autumn/winter 2011 campaign shots – and the jewellery she is showcasing is equally as beautiful.

Each of the items in the 22-piece collection were apparently inspired by the supermodel’s tattoos, and come in designs such as anchors, crescent moons, hearts and stars.

The jewellery is made from gold and precious stones, with prices starting from €350 all the way up to €35,000 (for the ruby encrusted scarf necklace Kate is wearing with her stunning backless dress – the third picture in our gallery below).

The images from Mario Sorrenti’s 2012 Pirelli calendar are finally here!

We brought you behind-the-scenes pictures from as early as August this year, but now the official images from the new Pirelli calendar have been released – and they have been worth the wait!

The 2012 Pirelli calendar was shot on location in Corsica, and features 13 of the hottest and most in-demand models (including Saskia de Brauw (pictured above), Joan Smalls, Kate Moss, Natasha Poly, Lara Stone, Milla Jovovich and Isabeli Fontana) posing nude for Mario Sorrenti’s lens.

“You know, originally I thought I was going to do very sexy pictures, and when we got there I realised that I didn’t want the pictures to be sexy at all… I didn’t want them to be posing and arching and like sticking their boobs in my face or anything like that,” Mario Sorrenti said about the nature of the calendar.

“We tried to keep it very simple, there were times where we did just photographs with the model and myself and there was no one around. I think that was the moment when I was able to capture some of the most beautiful photographs… You kind of lose yourself and you go with the flow of the moment and just let things happen.”
