Time for yet another March magazine cover now, this time courtesy of the ever-stunning Liv Tyler and Marie Claire UK. 

As well as countless effortlessly gorgeous pictures – of which there are many – we know we can always look forward to a good, frank and honest interview with Liv Tyler, which is exactly what we got.

After reading snippets from her candid interview about her son, her divorce and her career, there was one thing that really stood out to us… her love of collecting pictures!

“I have thousands of pictures on my phone,” she said. “Why am I so fascinated with capturing moments? I’ll tell you why. Because I’ve had so much change in my life. My whole life things have constantly changed, so psychologically I’m sure I’m quite sentimental.

“I want to remember the feeling, not only what it looks like. When it’s happening, it’s so wonderful but I know it’s gonna change or not gonna last. Everything changes so I want to remember it because I feel grateful for it.”

We can totally where she is coming from. We may adopt her snap happy attitude too…

As we reported last month, Givenchy has snapped up the gorgeous Liv Tyler to be the face, body and even voice of its brand new Electric Rose perfume.  

Today, we have a bit of a treat for you, as we’ve managed to get our hands on a sneaky teaser video of the commercial itself. And what a tease it is, as we still can’t hear Liv sing, although if we are to believe certain publications, we may have found out what song she’ll be singing.

“I got to record a cover of INXS’s I Need You Tonight for a Givenchy commercial,” Liv told People Magazine just a few days ago. “It was fun and terrifying and wonderful.”

Despite not being able to hear Liv sing yet, we can see her lip-synching, whipping her hair back and forth Willow Smith style and generally rocking out the way we assume her Aerosmith front-man father Steven Tyler taught her from a young age.

The commercial is due for release next month, so keep your eyes peeled for it!

Gorgeous model and actress Liv Tyler already has a pretty impressive CV, but now she is set to make her singing debut in an advert for Givenchy, which the brand calls “an electrifying meeting between the world of rock and the universe of perfume.” 

Liv Tyler has been the face of Givenchy’s Very Irrésistible fragrance since it first launched in 2003, but now she is kicking her spokesmodel duties up a notch by teaming up with Sony Music Entertainment and music producer David Andrew Sitek for the project. Details for the collaboration are a little vague at the moment, but we do know that the track will be a cover of a very popular song – so the hairbrushes will be out in force for some lip-synching and air-grabbing on our part.

Liv and her Aerosmith frontman father (and more recently American Idol judge) Steven Tyler appear to have done some career switching, as he recently posed for the Andrew Muse clothing line – diversity and a multitude of talent obviously runs in the family.

We can’t wait to hear the song!

The prestigious CFDA Awards took place in New York City last night, and fashion’s elite were out in full force to strut their stylish stuff down the polished purple carpet.

With the likes of Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Anna Wintour in attendence, celebrities, models and the industry’s finest had to task to ensure they looked their best in a slew of designer dresses – and they didn’t disappoint.

Styles of all shapes, sizes and sequins were present last night, with Jessica Alba leading the fashion pack in a colour-blocked purple and orange DVF dress, proving that even the pregnant can look utterly amazing.

New mum Miranda Kerr (seriously, how does she do it?), Lucy Liu and 90210‘s Shenae Grimes all looked beautiful in black, whilst Alessandra Ambrosio, Twilight star Ashley Green and, of course, the glowing Ms. Alba all opted for brights.

Last night’s annual CFDA Awards ceremony, held at the Lincoln Centre’s Tully Hall, played host to a hall of world class designers and fashion figures, recognising and praising them for their work and contribution to fashion throughout the year.

The winners? Designer duo Proenza Schouler scooped the Womenswear Designer of the Year award, while Michael Bastian bagged Best Menswear Designer of the Year, and Alexander Wang received Accessory Designer of the Year.

The rest of the awards were handed out by Swarovski, with Best Womenswear Designer going to Prabal Gurung, Menswear to Robert Geller and Eddie Borgo scooped Accessory Design.

But when there’s a party, you can bet your bottom dollar a few Hollywood celebs will show their perfectly groomed faces, with the likes of Liv Tyler, Naomi Watts and Kirsten Dunst doing just that, while Karlie Kloss and Ashley Greene arrived on the arms of Jason Wu and Michael Kors respectively.

And as previously reported, Marc Jacobs was presented with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, Lady Gaga won the Fashion Icon of the Year, Phoebe Philo of Celine was named International Designer of the Year, and Hilary Alexander was given the Eugenia Sheppard Media Award for her services to the industry, reports Vogue UK.

A pretty busy evening all round, then. Congrats, everyone!

Whilst attending the grand reopening of Christian Dior’s 57th Street boutique in New York City on Tuesday, actress Liv Tyler chose to wear one of the luxury French labels designs.

Admittedly we’ve been a bit mesmerised by Ms. Tyler ever since she played that mystical elf in Lord of the Rings, so it breaks our hearts just that little bit more when it comes to criticising her sartorial style.

The dove-grey dress itself is undeniably gorgeous, what with its asymmetrical one shoulder design and enticing girly ruffles, but our grudge lies with the black long sleeved top she wore underneath it, which drew what should’ve been stand-out attention away from the beautiful blurred frock.

We know it’s cold in December, Liv, but surely you could have braved the cold for five minutes in the name of style.

Good news if you like Kate Moss – the super’s set to grace our TV screens with a rare appearance on a reality show to help her good friend and hairdresser extraordinaire James Brown in his quest to find Britain’s best hairdresser. After him, of course.

Called Great British Hairdresser, the show will be a bit like Britain’s Got Talent but for hair – in other words, it’s a nationwide search to find the best hairdressing talents in the country.

“Here in the UK we have a great history of producing talented fashion designers, photographers and stylists, and I am looking forward to creating that same focus and success with our hairdressing talent,” James , who’s fronting the show, told Vogue UK. “I always wanted to be a hairdresser – from a young age I was motivated by the challenge of creating a new hairstyle, and making someone look and feel fabulous.”

We don’t know about you, but we’re sensing deja vu – James Brown had a reality show a while back in which Kate Moss made an appearance, too. Though this time, Gwyneth Paltrow and Liv Tyler may pop up at some point if we’re lucky.

Great British Hairdresser‘s set to air on E4 in the UK early next year – we’re sure it’ll be suitably entertaining.
