  • First look: Topshop New York
Topshop’s first home stateside is due to open on Thursday 2nd April, and here’s the first look of the new store. It does look fabulous, and as always is visual merchandised to perfection. Sir Philip Green is obviously happy exclaiming: “This is genuinely the best store we have ever built.” And we’re inclined to agree. It is over the top loveliness, and has...

  • New York Fashion Week: Nanette Lepore AW09
Wait a min. What, no eighties looks? No rock chic either? Yes, Nanette Lepore went against the norm that has been NY fashion week and churned out a collection full of bright clashing colours and prints. Patricia Field would have been proud. Was it any good? • New York Fashion Week: Max Azria AW09
For about 10mins I thought I was looking at Adriana Lima, it was actually Alicia Keys seated next to Joy Bryant and Rachel Bilson. Much like the models at Max Azria, all three were covered up. Hardly any flesh was on show and the models were kept warm in black body suits underneath most of the outfits. As with many of the shows here in NY, the theme was “strength”...

  • Kate Moss gets womanly for Topshop
If you haven’t heard, Topshop is opening in New York on 2nd April. Sir Philip Green and his team have been running around New York Fashion Week, getting the word out and scouting for talent. He did also have time to mention to WWD that more stores are planned, with up to fifteen to be set up across America, with Miami and Boston being tipped as top Topshop destinations....
