Admittedly, we were in two minds about how seriously to take this girl’s lingerie collection given her past, but upon hearing that Karl Lagerfeld himself lent his support and shot the entire lookbook, we instantly decided to give her a chance. 

She has been described by Kaiser Karl as “very French courtesan, like Liane de Pougy or the Belle Otéro”, but who is she?

Her name is Zahia Dehar, and if that name doesn’t ring any bells, we know the infamous French football scandal will. The now 19-year-old French beauty may have been at the centre of the scandal for being an underage escort, but it looks like she has put all that behind her to create a lingerie collection fit for the elite catwalks of Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris. Not bad going!

Her designs do leave very little to the imagination though, as demonstrated by the piece above which is modelled by Zahia herself.

We’re really looking forward to seeing the official lookbook images when they emerge, just to see Karl Lagerfeld’s vision for the collection! Are you?

Couture Fashion Week is back, and is kicking off with one almighty bang! It’s only Monday and our jaws have already hit the floor thanks to a few cheeky previews of the Atelier Versace Couture collection courtesy of the official Versace Twitter page. God love social networking! 

This is the first time Donatella Versace has showcased her couture designs with a presentation since January 2004, previously opting to show the world Versace Couture via the red carpet and the celebs lucky enough to be wearing the pieces.

Christian Dior and Giambattista Valli are among the others that will be showing later today, so be sure to check our Twitter page for a sneaky pic of the collections (if we manage to get our hands on them!).

What do you guys think of the Versace wares though? We’d like the bright green one on the right hand side now please! (Wouldn’t life be great if it was as simple as asking politely to add some couture to your wardrobe?)

To quote Hannibal in the wonderful The A-team, we love it when a plan comes together! The on-going conflict surrounding the spring/summer 2013 fashion week show dates has finally been resolved, as London and New York have agreed to change their schedules to comply with the new dates of the Milan and Paris shows.

It was a long and complicated affair, which would have caused chaos if it remained unresolved, as magazine editors would have been forced to pledge loyalties to different brands and cities due to the overlap. A drama if ever there was one!

Therefore we’re thrilled to reveal that both London and New York have come to an agreement, with both cities kicking things off a week earlier to avoid a clash with Milan and Paris. The new schedule is as follows:

New York Fashion Week will now take place from September 6th to September 13th, with London kicking off on September 14th through to September 18th. Milan will take place on September 19th.

Hurrah, fashion week is saved!

Some time last year, Arizona Muse took a break from posing for a multitude of worldwide Vogue covers to star in Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2012 catalogue. And boy are we glad she found time to do it, because the end result is a flawless selection of images of a gorgeous model showcasing some stunning pieces… phew!

Arizona is seen doing all the things expected of a tourist in Paris: casually reading and turning heads in a swanky Parisian café, catching up with some work while taking in the breathtaking view, walking along the River Seine, indulging in a fine picnic with a hot, young local (we assume!), going on a bike ride with aforementioned local, and so much more.

If only all tourists looked as chic and ‘at home’ in a foreign country as Arizona does. Take a look at some of our favourite pictures from the catalogue in our gallery below.

Pre-fall collections admittedly aren’t always met with the same hype and attention as the new season collections are. However this couldn’t be further from the truth over at Chanel, thanks to a lavish catwalk show that was staged to showcase the pre-fall Paris-meets-Bombay themed ready-to-wear collection. 

VIP guests turned up to the Grand Palais in Paris and gathered around a circular runway, on larger than life banqueting tables adorned with luxury flowers, fruits and even a toy train carrying liquor… since when have you known Chanel to do things by halves, eh?

As far as the outfits themselves were concerned, the Bombay meets Paris theme couldn’t have been more apparent – there was the perfect blend of both cities and their respective cultures infused into the designs that were paraded around the circular catwalk by some of the most highly regarded models in the fashion industry today, including Anja Rubik, Crystal Renn and Daphne Groeneveld to name just a few.

We were presented with everything from modern takes on the classic tweed boucle jacket to dresses that contained both Parisian silhouettes and elements of the sari all in one. There were endless sparkles and layers of the finest, godliest jewellery seemingly fit for a king, or even sultan. The colour palette was extensive to say the least, which stayed true to the Indian part of the theme, with Karl Lagerfeld using everything from bright, neon shades of pink, to his much-loved monochrome – and lots of metallics to boot.

After 10 years of showing at Paris Fashion Week, Stella McCartney will be back in London for a special fashion presentation, where she will be showcasing a one-off collection on Saturday February 18th. 

The unique collection celebrating all things London will be available to buy at her retail stores and through the StellaMcCartney.com website, but her autumn/winter 2012 collection will still be shown in Paris as scheduled on March 5th.

Stella appears to be taking London by storm, as the one-off fashion event is set to coincide with the World of Stella exhibition in Selfridges, where the designer will unveil a brand new fragrance, as well as new ready-to-wear, accessories, childrenswear, lingerie, sunglasses and the Adidas by Stella McCartney collections.

If that wasn’t enough, Stella will also be in town to open a second store at Brompton Cross in the second week of February – her original store lies on Bruton Street – which will include the first ever Stella McCartney Kids freestanding space.

If those aren’t great reasons to come to London, then we don’t know what are.

David Beckham’s five-year LA Galaxy contract is due to expire at the end of the year (didn’t all those years go quickly?), but he is showing no signs of resigning, taking a break or even slowing down, as he’s apparently already in talks to sign an 18-month contract with Qatari-owned Paris St Germain at the start of the new year.

This means that the Beckham brood would need to relocate to the City of Light for at least a year and a half, although the family would reportedly be returning Stateside after David’s contract expires.

This potential move now begs the question: if the Beckhams move to Paris, will Victoria therefore show at Paris Fashion Week instead of New York Fashion Week? We have a feeling that Paris could do wonders for Victoria’s fashion lines, possibly giving her a fresh start and a new edge to her much-loved collections.

We know that Paris has long been the fashion capital of the world, but will Victoria be able to manage her fashion empire in the same way she has done in LA? Will she rack up the air miles and jet back and forth? Or will she just Skype everyone as she said she did during her maternity leave?

Only time will tell, but if history has taught us anything, Mrs Beckham will make it work for her.
