Anyone living in – or with access to – London right now may need a diversion to Harrods, particularly if they’re Marc Jacobs fans.

The eponymous label of America’s favourite designer has just popped up in London’s luxury department store for the first time ever, and let’s just say you won’t be able to miss the specially curated window.

Hanging and hiding among a super-sized hot pink cow (yes, really!) is a gorgeous selection of handbags from Marc Jacobs’ autumn/winter collection, as well as two bespoke bags designed in exclusive colourways especially for Harrods.

We popped along to the installation’s launch yesterday morning to have a browse of the all-new boutique over coffee and cake before its official opening to the public, and though being greeted by a bright pink cow at 8.30am is a rather strange concept, we can’t think of a better start to the day.

The Marc Jacobs pop-up window will be on display at Harrods until October 8th, so we suggest anyone looking to add to their handbag collection (or wanting to get familiar with a fashionable farm animal) gets down there sharpish.

Look out for the muted cream and tan Mini Stam bag in Python, exclusive to Harrods, and the glittering gold snakeskin clutch – the ultimate party bag (both pictured in the gallery below).

If you were in Paris last Thursday, lucky you. For that night only, Dior displayed an exhibition complete with 32 couture dresses and corresponding lipsticks at the LVMH headquarters – and we hear it was quite the place to be.

Called ‘De La Haute Couture a la Haute Couleur’ – or ‘Haute Couture with High Colour’ if you’re French isn’t as fluent as ours (yeah right) – the exhibition showcased 32 dresses from the French fashion house’s couture collections, dating between 2004 and 2010, alongside new lipsticks in matching colours from the new Rouge Dior line.

How very sophis. And, among the high profile faces in attendance, up popped Emma Heming – a previous starwalt for Dior beauty campaigns – alongside her husband Bruce Willis. They came to support Heming’s long-time friend and Dior creative director for makeup Tyen who, whether he meant to or not, hinted at Heming stepping up for Dior once again.

“We made many campaigns with Dior before,” he told WWD, “and who knows, maybe something will come up again.”

Either he was being polite or he knows something we don’t – and for the sake of a bit of excitement, we hope it’s the latter.

Pop up shops are as we know, the most fashionable shops around. The trend for these mini shops doesn’t seem to be waning. The latest pop up shop, or should I say pop up shops? Are 12 Degrees. Twelve pop up shops are planned to open up in the UK and each one will stay open for one month.

12 Degrees pop up shops will be specialising in ethical fashion. They are being set up by quite a gaggle of impressive ethical fashion lovers. These are the journalist Lucy Siegel, film producer Livia Firth (her husband’s Colin), Orsola de Castro who runs the wonderful Esthetica at LFW and stylist Jocelyn Whipple.

These are not only ethical lovers, but fashion lovers, so if anyone can bring ethical fashion to the forefront it’s them. All twelve pop up shops will have a different fashion theme. One will focus on sustainable denim, whilst another will sell real cashmere. Events will be held in each pop up, as Siegel explains “some events are more ‘out there’ than others the more ‘out there’ include learning to sew with pineapple and silk moth fibres. Other more ‘normal’ masterclasses look at how to get the right fitting ethical jeans.

The 12 Degrees pop up shops are being held in the ethical store, Eco Age. It’s based in Chiswick and was opened by Colin and Livia Firth.

So, if you want to be thinking more about your purchases, or if you just want to learn how to sew with pineapples, then make sure you head over to Eco Age. You’ll be surprised how gorgeous eco-living can be.
