Yesterday was an exciting day for My Fashion Life! We were featured in The Guardian newspaper (along with fellow fashion bloggers Style Bubble and English Cut) as part of a piece about blogging in the UK. Quote from the article,
“The site, which tracks catwalk designers and street fashion, is tipped increasingly as an industry resource”
Sad thing is…although the mainstream media has been brilliant in recognising the value of fashion blogs, the Weblogs Awards still refuse to create a category for us fashion bloggers (sigh…). On a more positive note I’d like to say a massive “THANKS” to each and every one of you! There is no way My Fashion Life would be receiving the incredible acknowledgement it’s getting today if it wasn’t for our community of loyal readers.
So…next year marks our 5th anniversary (can you believe it’s been 5 years already?) and this past year has seen a marked increase in our readership. I’d love to know who our new readers are and would greatly appreciate it if you could take 5 mins to tell us who you are and how we can serve your fashionable needs by taking our quick survey. With your help we can make next year bigger and better. It won’t take long and I promise it’ll be worth it. Click here to take the survey. Much love!

I would have been none the wiser if I hadn’t received an email about My Fashion Life being featured in the Daily Mail on Monday. This is the sites first feature in a British newspaper making it extra special! The online version is slightly inaccurate citing contributions as being provided by my circle of friends but the rest is pretty much on point and also features some of my favourites, such as bagsnob, manolo, satorialist and showstudio.
See the original below……thanks so much for your support guys, if it wasnt for you coming back reguarly, the site wouldnt be receiving all this love!

A massive thanks to friend of the site and freelance fashion journalist Kirsten Hanssen for giving My Fashion Life some love in her column for Netherlands fashion trade mag Newstyle - on sale today - Kirsten’s also been kind enough to provide a translation too, see below…..
Published in the quarterly fashion trade magazine NewStyle #1 2007 (12th of Jan.)
Fashion Life
My Fashion Life from London can be best described as a mix of a weblog and an online magazine. Opinions are given in easy-to-read articles about the latest ongoing movements in the fashion business. But at My Fashion Life you will also find interesting interviews and background stories. What I like the most about My Fashion Life is that it focuses on talent rather than trends. The portal is a sort of database for everyone, professional or consumer, who has an interest in fashion. One thing: take some time out for My Fashion Life, because the site contains enough information and useful links to spend a weekend with!

PSFK votes My Fashion Life one of the top essential fashion blogs….

PSFK’s Piers Fawkes talks to Jason Campbell ( JC Report) about the changing face of fashion….
PF: The magazine format doesn’t fit within our lives anymore. We are turning to the web, to RSS, and newsletters like JC Report. I think the “cool” blogs are an interesting sign of things to come. They’re only half baked at the moment, but they’re a great example of consumers/observers wrestling control from established trendsetters. Cool blogs will democratize what is cool.
