Savannah and Sienna Miller step down from Twenty8Twelve

Well, we didn’t expect this! Earlier today, it was announced that blonde sisters Savannah and Sienna Miller would be stepping down as co-creative directors of Twenty8Twelve, after six years of working with the label.

“We’ve had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures,” said the Miller sisters. “We wish the brand the best of luck for the future.”

According to WWD, the label will still go ahead and show its new collection at London Fashion Week, but will instead be called Twenty8Twelve London instead of Twenty8Twelve by s.miller.

Although we’re shocked to hear that the girls have left their label, we have a feeling their new ventures will be equally as exciting, so we can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves.

Is Sienna Miller pregnant?

Just last week Peaches Geldof announced that she was pregnant, but it was also speculated that Rachel Zoe could very well be expecting her second child less than a year after giving birth to little Skyler. And now we have yet another name to add to our “bump watch” list as reports are suggesting that Sienna Miller and boyfriend Tom Sturridge are expecting their first baby together.

“They just spent the holidays in Paris together after they announced the news in London,” a source told US Weekly. “Friends are really happy with her relationship with Tom. He’s younger, yes, but he’s mature and he’s a good guy.”

Although nothing has been confirmed, Sienna’s designer and blogger sister Savannah tweeted that she was “thrilled” on Friday, which we’d like to assume was referring to her sister’s pregnancy… we guess we’ll just have to wait and see if the rumours are true!

We think Sienna will make a very good (and very yummy) mummy, don’t you?

We have Pierre Balmain, Versace for H&M, Victoria by Victoria Beckham and Jason Wu for Target, but now we have an additional lower priced collection to look forward to.

Stylish sisters Savannah and Sienna Miller are giving more of their fans the opportunity to dress in their Twenty8Twelve label by offering a fab secondary line as part of the AW11 collection called Made in England.

It has nothing to do with the reality TV show of a similar name and more to do with the fact that every single item is made right here in Britain.

“A lot of the factories in the UK have skilled workers with years of experience who really understand how to cut, construct, finish and perfect a piece of clothing that you can be proud of: if you designed it or bought it,” Savannah said. “It really is a huge team effort, as everyone in the chain adds something to the final piece.”

Upon first impressions, the pieces look every bit as cool as the mainline – we can’t wait to browse the collection in its entirety.

Sibling rivalry has been around since the dawn of time – especially with sisters – but nothing could be further from the truth with designer-duo Sienna and Savannah Miller, they simply love working together.

After setting up their eponymous label Twenty8Twelve just over five years ago, the girls have experienced massive success with their effortlessly chic style in the fashion world – and couldn’t be happier with their joint business venture.

“This business means we get to see more of each other and work on something we both enjoy,” says Sienna.

“There’s never been any conflict,” adds Savannah. “We work really well together, plus it means we have to see each other two nights a week so it’s a great excuse to say to my husband, ‘You have to take the kids, I’m working with my sister’!”

Now with their eleventh collection under their fashionable belts, the stylish siblings feel happy and confident they’ve found their niche with the AW11 collection.

“I feel like we’ve been finding our niche,” Savannah said. “Maybe we’ve tried to be a bit too avant garde in the past, but now we do that with print and texture and just focus on making wearable clothes we’d love to wear. We have an amazing team of seven unsung heroes who work with us – they really understand us and where we want the brand to be – and we’re getting there.”

The brand new AW11 collection also poses as the highest quality line to date.

“We’ve moved all our tailoring to London as well,” said Sienna to Vogue UK, “which has made a massive difference in terms of quality and fit – and working with a pattern cutter here feels right for the brand too. We also now get each sample in both our sizes which has made a huge difference to the way we make changes. I’ve had the great fortune to wear a lot of beautiful designer clothes, and you know when something feels right.”

The Twenty8Twelve spring/summer 2011 collection is now available from Selfridges.

Sienna’s fashion statement

As obvious as this is, I didn’t actually see this one coming. Sienna Miller and her sister Savannah have announced that they will be launching their own fashion label, with a name inspired by Sienna’s birthday, â€œTwenty8Twelve. Anyone wishing to feel sceptical should know that the venture will most probably be a creative success if their fashion credentials are anything to go by.

Sienna unlike the likes of Nicole Richie, does not hire or fire stylists as she styles herself, while Savannah is a graduate of Central Saint Martins who has lent her talents to Alexander McQueen, Betty Jackson and Matthew Williamson. The collection compiled of 80 pieces will be entitled â€œAn Anthology of Rebellion and is inspired by â€œDickensian London

Quoted by Style.com, Sienna said of the partnership,

“This isn’t about just lending a name to something and not really being involved.”

Hmmm could she be having a dig at Kate Moss?
