Alas, the time for me to leave New York City has arrived. With a move to sunny Southern California in the works for next month, I am totally excited to explore a new city and to have access to incredible beaches and to bask in perpetual nice weather…but it’s no secret that there are a list full of things that I will dearly miss from the place I’ve called home over the past eight years. Great food, great friends…and yes, of course, great fashion.

As a tribute to one of the most stylish cities in the world, I will leave you with some of my favorite shopping haunts that I’ve frequented over the years that have helped to shape my closet from season to season.

I stumbled upon Karen Millen for the first time in the U.S. two years ago. While rummaging through a consignment shop, I fell for Millen’s alligator textured, rhinestone outfitted clutch. After spending about $50, this immaculate piece and I were meant to be together. Ever since this purchase, I have significantly upgraded my wardrobe with Karen Millen pieces, both clothing and accessories.

I have a question. What is going to be the trend for sunglasses this summer and early Fall? - Michael (June 2nd, 2008)

Sunglasses are a funny thing in terms of trends because there are only so many ways to remodel a pair of spectacles. But, somehow, there is always some new utterly covetable style. The most obvious trend of the moment, for boys and girls, are the classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

This week has seen me hop, skip and jump around London town on a number of appointments. Always fun, but tiring. One of my trips included a visit to the offices of my-wardrobe.com (their showroom is a slice of heaven!) to discuss all things Autumn Winter 08/09.

I know, I know, summer’s just begun, but I’m currently working on some fab features for you guys, so its got to be done.

This season, fashionistas have not held back when it comes to wearing bold prints, bright colours and loud accessories, so much so that outfiits are playing second fiddle to big, chunky, sculptural necklaces. To make your own statement, opt for a whimsical charm necklace.

Natalie Portman rocked the ruffled look in Cannes last month, and since then, the frilly and feminine style has become a copy-worthy look for Summer. Being that not all of us can afford Lanvin, Givenchy and designer duds of the like, here are some cute and affordable tiered dresses that will help us mimic the glamorous look.

I am totally digging this new wave of hidden platform heels. How ingenious! I’ve always loved platform shoes being that I need all the help I can get in the height department. However, I’ve had to shy away from them or more formal events because of their tendency of looking bulky or even cheap if not done well.
