Erdem designs exclusive capsule collection for Net-a-Porter

Be still our beating hearts – Canadian-born fashion designer Erdem Moralioglu has designed an exclusive capsule collection for Net-a-Porter, and it’s filled to the brim with gorgeous floral summer dresses. How very fitting indeed.

“This collection for Net-a-Porter is exclusive, it’s playful and relaxed,” said Erdem. “It has the energy of the spring/summer 2011 show, but more focused on day dresses. It features enlarged painted florals on summery cottons – it’s all about fresh, young pieces!”

The collection consists of seven different staples from trousers to skirts and dresses, all complete with printed cottons and silk crepe fabrics to give this summer collection a more relaxed, casual edge compared to the designer’s mainline.

“Erdem’s popularity with our customers shows no sign of waning and this high summer collection of pretty printed pieces will appeal to Erdem fans, both loyal and new,” said Net-a-Porter buying director, Holli Rogers, to Vogue UK.

The brand new Erdem collection is now available at Net-a-Porter.

Angelina Jolie is the new face of Louis Vuitton

The stunning American actress that is Angelina Jolie has reportedly signed a contract worth $10 million with luxury fashion label Louis Vuitton, becoming the brand’s latest ambassador.

Angelina is no stranger to high-end fashion campaigns – the 35-year-old was previously the face of St John, a rather conservative American luxury fashion brand – but it seems the recent deal struck with Louis Vuitton’s creative director, Marc Jacobs, is a massive leap up the hierarchy chain of fashion for Ms. Jolie.

The busy mum-of-six recently launched her latest jewellery collaboration, Style of Jolie, with designer Robert Procop, but now it would seem her time will be filled with posing for Louis Vuitton’s latest campaign, shot by Annie Leibovitz, which is rumoured to debut later this summer, reports the Telegraph.

No doubt Angelina will look as gorgeous as ever.

Kate Moss turns into a stalker for Comic Relief

One celebrity definitely getting into the charitable spirit of things for this year’s Comic Relief fundraiser is global supermodel Kate Moss.

Not only is the British beauty getting married this summer to long-term boyfriend Jamie Hince, she’s also found time to star alongside the charity’s mascot, Misery Bear, in her very own short film.

“I am always really happy to get involved on Red Nose Day and it was an honour to work with Misery Bear! Comic Relief is a fantastic charity and is close to my heart,” says Moss.

Playing a rather obsessive Misery Bear fan, Moss can be seen inviting the unsuspecting bear in for a drink after he knocks on her front door in the hope of drumming up support for the charity.

But unbeknown to him, things suddenly go from bad to worse, as the Red Nose Day mascot discovers the model has created a shrine dedicated to him in her bedroom, complete with candles and pictures galore – even one of the two on their imaginary wedding day, reports Vogue UK.

Talk about a celebrity stalker, eh? We do love it when famous faces make a fool of themselves – all in the name of charity of course!

Get beach ready with Debenhams (and £400)

With the sun showing itself at least three times a week and all, it’s probably high time to prepare for the poolside and get ourselves looking somewhat summer-ready. Well, for one spring stylista, that’s about to become a whole lot easier with a little help from Debenhams. Fancy £400 worth of goodies? Yeah you do.

Britain’s best-loved department store is giving one very lucky girl (and 10 runner ups, more on that later) the chance to get beach ready with a rather fetching £400 to spend across an impressive range (designers included) of swimwear, cover ups and those all important accessories to get you looking pretty for the pool, stylish for the sea, and, er, haute for the heat.

And to spare a few broken hearts there’ll be 10 runners up, too, that will each get to pick their favourite swimsuit from the store – a little consolation prize, if you will.

Time for Summer with L’Occitane’s Peony Collection!

Famed for luxury soap, and a shop smelling distinctly like a Florist in Covent Gardens, L’Occitane has recently brought us their new ‘Peony Collection.’ You’d never guess, but it’s based on the peony flower and the legends of beauty that surround it.

Split into two – fragrance and make-up, each product contains peony extract, leaves your skin smelling of fresh flowers and as expected is presented in striking packaging that truly enhances the distinction between this brand and high street competitors such as Body Shop.

I never expected anything other than luxury in the shape of soap and lipgloss and the smell of a French garden – which is exactly what I got. Once again a fine example of L’Occitane promising to deliver and doing exactly that.

My favourite piece? The illuminating powder – not only balances the red in your skin and brightens your complexion, but brush it around your nose and you’re smelling flowers all day! Not to mention the pretty picture in the powder! Definitely leads me to believe that summer is finally here!
