by Ikechukwu Onyewuenyi on August 14, 2008

You can tell that we love Charlotte Ronson here at My Fashion Life so we’re pretty chuffed to announce that Ronson has teamed up with Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss—a childhood friend of Ronson—to launch a beach/swimwear line called Made With Love. The collection, which is set to hit high-end department stores and Ronson’s own Soho store in February, will cater to both women and young girls.

Swimsuit Season: Victoria’s Secret 2008 Collection

by Angie Omata on April 22, 2008

victoriasecret_200408.jpg

Looking for a perfect bathing suit is nearly as impossible and daunting as finding the perfect pair of jeans. Both are candid reality checks on the state of our figures and both typically leave us wishing that we had more or less in more areas than one. Lucky for us (and our boyfriends/husbands), Victoria’s Secret’s 2008 swimwear collection has just hit the market with hundreds of options to help us find the best suits to flatter our bodies.

It’s that time again: The James Bond Bikini

by Angie Omata on March 11, 2008

To all the guys out there, you’re welcome. To the ladies, my apologies for reminding you what impossible perfection in a bikini should look like. Seeing Halle Berry in her infamous orange swimsuit probably makes you think about how quickly beach season is approaching and how many workouts you can fit in before then.

Its an investment

by Michele Obi on August 10, 2007

It’s always wise to have swimsuits on hand in the event of an impromptu holiday and with all the great summer sales there is no time like the present to stock up. DKNY a favourite of mine for its simplicity, has an amazing swimwear sale and most of the styles are classic and unlikely to be dated by next summer. This halter neck one piece, $104, $72.80 is probably the best investment from the range. You can’t really go wrong when it comes to black for swimwear although I do adore the pink one piece, $92, $64.40. All available from DKNY.

Retro Swimwear

by Michele Obi on June 14, 2007

retro_black.JPGI’m loving retro swimwear at the moment. It’s such a fun alternative to the traditional bikini and cut out swimwear - which lets face it, we’re not all cut out for. Swimsuit boutique Poppi swim has a great selection of retro bathing suits inspired by 40’s & 50’s design.

Granted some of the floral styles are a bit overwhelming but you can’t go wrong with a plain black one piece halter, $72. The shape is flattering and fabulously elegant. Oh I can just imagine myself now lounging by the pool, cocktail in hand and donning a pair of oversized sunglasses. I need a holiday!

Totally Tropical

by Anna Rossiter on June 7, 2007

If upon opening your wardrobe, you are not blown away by a brightly patterned, vibrantly coloured tropical tornado of clothing (figuratively speaking of course) then you are not adequately prepared for the summer! This summers palette is as varied as it is dazzling, whether it’s a tunic, a vest, a bikini or a bag, ‘the brighter the better’ appears to be the not-so-subtle undertone this season. These shades speak for themselves so when accessorising go for simple gold or wooden bangles!
