When we said Mother Monster would soon take over the world, we didn’t think it would happen this soon, or indeed, this literally.

Lady Gaga has decided to give Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg a run for his money by launching her very own social, network littlemonsters.com, for all her fans to communicate on.

This makes total sense to us – the singer was the first person to reach a staggering 19 million followers on Twitter so to say the site would generate traffic is a severe understatement!

Littlemonsters.com was created by Lady Gaga and Backplane (a company she invested in) and although it isn’t active yet, potential little monsters can register their details to receive an invitation to join the site when the time comes.

If you register you’ll get the following message:

“Your invitation request has been received! We’re excited to share the world of LittleMonsters with you very shortly, keep an eye out for an official invite sometime soon.”

Well, what are you waiting for?  Put your paws up (and other such Gaga-isms…)

We bet you never thought you’d see that headline, but it’s true: Victoria Beckham has been asked to design a suit for Lord Alan Sugar after he messaged the singer-turned-designer on Twitter.

“@victoriabeckham can you design a suit for me to wear in the house of lords? might catch on,” he wrote to Mrs Beckham yesterday.

We hope that Lord Sugar’s request was genuine and Victoria Beckham does indeed oblige, because we’d love to see the end result.

If she agrees to make a bespoke suit for Lord Sugar, it would mark her first foray into menswear, and if her design is as well received as her previous womenswear mainline and diffusion collections have been, we could potentially see her branch out even further and expand the ever-growing Victoria Beckham empire.

We wait with baited breath for her to reply. We could be getting a little ahead of ourselves here, but we are predicting her hubby David Beckham could be the spokesmodel for the potential menswear collection… what do you think?

If you can’t go an hour without visiting the social networking site, then we have the perfect announcement for you. 

Four top British illustrators have been snapped up to work on the ‘Create my Tweet’ project, whereby they will illustrate your 140 character tweet using the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note as their canvas, meaning you’ll have a unique and personal piece of modern art that you contributed to.

If you want to take part, all you have to do is tweet @samsungmobile using the hashtag #createmytweet for the chance to have your Tweet recreated.

The project will take place between the 22nd and 25th November, with each illustrator getting to work on one day each.

In this order, the designing talents will be Steven Wilson, Rose Stallars, Danny Sangra and Natasha Law, who all have a wealth of experience under their belts, not to mention very impressive client lists which include Vogue, Mulberry, Louis Vuitton, Topshop and Harrods.

Katy Perry is ‘doing a Selena Gomez‘ and is encouraging her fans to get involved with the ins and outs of her second fragrance. Not that she needs their help – her debut fragrance Purr did amazingly well – but it’s nice that she’s including them.

Expect to see Twitter going mad from next week, as Katy has asked her fans to guess the name of her sophomore scent to be in with a chance of winning perfume, hanging out with Katy herself and other fabulous goodies.

WWD reports that Mrs Russell Brand is quite the multi-tasker, having created her new perfume while on her California Dreams world tour. Does this lady ever sleep?!

The singer and perfume-ista also dished out advice on how to apply perfume the Katy Perry way – “spray and walk through.”

“I’ve heard that you’re not supposed to spray directly on the skin,” she said. “Then it’s not so concentrated, because everybody knows sometimes when a woman walks into a room, she can smell like her grandmother.”

Gisele might be the richest, but new research carried out by industry website The Fashion Spot has revealed Polish supermodel Anja Rubik is ranked as the most influential model in fashion since April last year. And it’s clear to see why.

The 26-year-old stunner has already posed on an impressive 59 magazine covers and appeared on 43 designers’ runways in a mere 12 months.

Anja has been held as the most in-demand model according to The Fashion Spot ranking, and subsequently has the most Twitter followers at a staggering 54,508, and the highest number of internet searches for her name with 2.67 million.

Chanel favourite Freja Beha Erichsen comes in at second place with 65 magazine covers and 51 shows, and despite appearing in just two shows last year, Dutch model Lara Stone takes third place with 47 covers.

Next Model Abbey Lee Kershaw has also been ranked at number four in the hot list, with 48 magazine covers, 53 shows and over three million internet searches under her belt.

And after modelling for the likes of Chanel and Tom Ford, it’s no wonder Abbey has been hailed Australia’s biggest model export since Elle Macpherson.

It’s a well known fact the world of celebrities are obsessed with the internet phenomenon Twitter – after all, posting your endless shenanigans for the entire universe to see does have its ego-boosting perks.

With Lady Gaga and Nicola Formichetti recently claiming they were both obsessed with Twitter, it comes as no surprise many other fashion big-shots have taken to the world of social networking – with some tweets more outrageous than others.

Karl Lagerfeld recently tweeted “With expensive fashion, the inside should be as perfect as the outside,” on his Twitter page, and although it might not have been the most trend-setting advice out there, at least he tried.

But the entourage of groundbreaking fashion advice didn’t end there last week as Alexa Chung kindly gave us a hint to this season’s next biggest trend.

“Gonna wear cardgian backwards a la Karina,” she tweeted, reports SkyShowbiz.

If you say so Alexa. At least they keep us amused first thing on a Monday morning, eh?
