Here’s another video for you to enjoy this morning… lovely French Vogue editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt very skillfully recreating the video of none other than Wham’s Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, one of her self-confessed favourite songs! You really can’t make this stuff up!

So, what’s got Emmanuelle so excited, you cry? The much anticipated relaunch of the Vogue Paris website, vogue.fr of course!

Joining Mademoiselle Alt in this truly spectacular video (give us this vid over the Superbowl halftime show, any day!) are top models Anja Rubik, Karmen Pedaru, Jasmine Tookes and Kendra Spears, who all act as Emanuelle’s equally energetic backing singers and dancers.

We know fashion is sometimes all about a good icy glare and a stiff, strong pout, but we do love it when models and editors alike cut loose to create what can only be described as musical and visual magic.

Lana Del Rey looks lovely in Louis Vuitton for British Vogue March 2012

We couldn’t be more excited to reveal that Lana Del Rey is British Vogue’s March 2012 cover girl, posing prettily for photography legend Mario Testino in a gorgeous Louis Vuitton outfit.

We should have known that the fashion bible had snapped up THE biggest rising talent of the year so far for the all-important March issue, yet we had no idea – hence our excited but very surprised reaction when we first found out.

We love the soft, elegant and feminine vibe the issue initially gave off, which plays to Lana’s femininity beautifully. We would have thought that, as a self-branded “gangster Nancy Sinatra”, her cover would have been slightly edgier, but we honestly can’t fault British Vogue’s vision.

Despite our earlier gushing, we think Vogue should have chosen any of the editorial pictures below for the cover instead, but that’s the only critique we can give. Cannot wait to get our hands on this!

Jonathan Saunders wins BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund 2012!

Huge congratulations to fab Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders, as he has just been revealed as the winner of this year’s BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund! His prize includes £200,000 in cash, as well as exclusive mentoring to help him meet his business goals over the next year.

“I’m so happy about winning the fund,” the winner told British Vogue. “The last 12 months have been an exciting time for me and my team and I’m very proud of all their hard work. We have many exciting plans for the near future and this along with the support network provided by the BFC will enable us to achieve our goals.”

The Scottish designer had lots of stiff competition for the prize, from the likes of Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou, Richard Nicoll, Roksanda llincic, Marios Schwab, Zoe Jordan, Meadham Kirchhoff and Nicholas Kirkwood – all of whom were shortlisted.

Jonathan Saunders must feel almost indestructible right now, as he has also won the Scottish Designer of the Year award for the past two years. We are now looking forward to his upcoming collection more than ever – congrats once again to a truly worthy winner!

Arizona Muse channels the 50s housewife for British Vogue’s February 2012 issue

American beauty Arizona Muse flashes her pearly whites and some delicious fruity earrings on the cover of February’s British Vogue, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier.

Upon first glance it may appear as though Arizona is channelling the classic 1950s housewife, but we think that’s part of the appeal. We know there will be some cynics among the blogosphere that may critique the choice of cover shot, but we applaud British Vogue for boldly taking a chance and choosing a picture of its model smiling.

Arizona’s Prada dress from the spring/summer 2012 collection hasn’t gone unnoticed either – Dakota Fanning also rocked the same outfit on February’s Elle UK, although we can’t quite decide who looks better in it. We have a feeling we’re going to be seeing a lot of items from Prada’s latest collection all over the glossies in the next few months, so keep your eyes peeled!

And congratulations to Arizona Muse for landing her seventh Vogue cover in just over a year: impressive!

Will Adele be American Vogue’s March cover star?

According to WWD, Anna Wintour is said to be keen on making British singing superstar Adele an American Vogue cover star, which we think you’ll agree is pretty exciting stuff.

Apparently some of the world’s finest designers have been asked to create a special wardrobe just for Adele’s cover and editorial shoot, as the sample sizes won’t fit her UK size 16 frame.

This is music to our ears – we get the feeling British Vogue realised its mistake by hiding Adele’s body away in the October issue, so now we bet the magazine will be showcasing and embracing her curves at every opportunity.

A spokesperson for Vogue declined to comment on the rumours so we still don’t know whether it’s a sure thing. Plus, Styleite reports that American singer Taylor Swift may have snagged the March cover instead, so we guess we’ll just have to sit tight and be patient to find out.
