This spring and summer are going to be all about citrus bright tones, but these attention-grabbing colours aren’t for everyone. Whether you feel you can’t pull off a fuschia top or a lemon yellow dress, or you simply don’t enjoy such flashy colours, there are still ways to incorporate these hues into your wardrobe in subtle ways.

Take this fab shirt from See by Chloe (one of my favourite lines); this otherwise plain white tee is embellished with a detailed print pattern around the collar.

This mod interpretation of Eastern European peasant-style blouses (with the hues of Tibetan mandalas thrown in) will look great with a mini when the warmer weather arrives, but until then toss on a pair of skinny black pants for a more subdued take on the brights of this season. $180 at Net-a-Porter
