With every trip across the Channel to Paris, comes a trip to Sephora on the fashionable Champs Elysees!

I don’t know what it is about this beauty brand that draws me in and makes my heart beat a little faster. I mean, living in London I should be more than satisfied with my choice of make-up brands.

I have Mac, Bobbi Brown and high street favourite, Barry M on my doorstep, but would rather buy in bulk on my yearly trips to Sephora than pop to Selfridges for a bright Mac lippy.

So, what makes it special? Is it the row upon row of glossy, rainbow lipsticks and mascaras, eyeshadows in every colour combination under the sun, and blushers, brushes and bronzers? Or maybe it’s the price.

Sephora offers some of their fabulous own label products at a snip compared to other competitive brands. The lipstick pencil I bought at Sephora would sell at NARS for a cool £17, while all I paid was a measly £4.

And it’s not only their own brand that they sell, they also showcase other high-end beauty brands such as Clinique, Dior, and Guerlain, as well as selling almost every perfume known to man including some brands exclusive only to them. This makes them appeal to not only a shopper like myself who fancies a good bargain, but also the people who can afford to drop £100 at a time.

Personally, I adore their own brand of make-up. This is what I live for every year, and with these savings, you really do have an excuse to pop to Paris for a short break. It’s not all about sightseeing, you know!
