Modelland, the debut book released by ultimate supermodel, actress, TV host and savvy businesswoman Tyra Banks, could very well be adapted and turned into a film in the near future.

According to New York Magazine, the decision came after the book’s success became very apparent. Modelland shot to the top of the Barnes and Noble charts, as well as going to an equally impressive number two on the New York Times bestsellers list.

Not bad for her first attempts at novel writing, eh?

There’s no word on who the frontrunners for the lead roles are, but apparently Tyra is keen to have an “everygirl” portraying one of the main characters.

“I would love to open up the Modelland casting to the world,” she said. “I’m looking for an everygirl to possibly play one of the characters in the story.”

We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more developments – watch this space!
