Ladies, we all know that Coast is one of your first ports of call when it comes to seeking out a stunning dress to wear to that special occasion. And it’s not hard to see why, as the high street label never fails to deliver season after season. This is why we’re pretty chuffed to learn that Coast has teamed up with the folks over at the Victoria and Albert Museum to create a six-piece capsule collection of dresses inspired by the popular Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950 exhibit.

“The V&A collection seemed like the perfect collaboration for both Coast and the V&A,” said Kim Elliot, a spokesperson for Coast. “Inspiration for this fabulous collection of dresses came from vintage dresses, beautiful and iconic fashion photography images and delving into the drawers of fashion history to recreate and bring to life this collection of contemporary ballgowns.”

The pieces are admittedly somewhat pricier than what we’re used to seeing at Coast – prices start from £550 – but we reckon it’s definitely a case of getting what you pay for. Money well spent if you ask us! The collection is available from Coast stores and online from today, and the pieces are already selling like hotcakes so snap your favourite up fast to avoid disappointment!
