To put it simply, the September issue of British Vogue is stunning. Featuring Rihanna adorned with a floral headpiece and sporting super-thin eyebrows, the cover marks the first time a black woman has fronted the most coveted September issue in the history of the magazine.

Shot by Nick Knight and styled by editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, the images inside the fashion bible are just as gorgeous. However the talking point seems to be the singer’s eyebrows which were infact the brainchild of Enninful and were beautifully executed by makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench.

On choosing Rihanna for the September cover, Enninful said in his editor’s letter, “I always knew it had to be Rihanna.” He continued, “A fearless music-industry icon and businesswoman, when it comes to that potent mix of fashion and celebrity, nobody does it quite like her.”
