First look: Kate Moss for Playboy

Here it is guys, the first look at Kate Moss for Playboy! Earlier this year, we told you that the popular American lads’ mag had tapped Mossy to appear in its 60th anniversary issue, and we’ve been treated to the first ever pic from the shoot this morning. Kate was shot by her good friends Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott right here in London (was that to make her feel more at home?) and was styled by W Magazine’s fashion director Alex White. Despite turning the big 4-0 soon, Kate doesn’t look phased by getting her kit off for the camera. Well done Playboy for choosing our Croydon gal for such an important issue… “This is a massive global brand. You need a global icon in order to celebrate that – that was the impetus,” said Playboy’s editorial director Jimmy Jellinek. “You’re talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She’s the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years. “It started with Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Playboy 60 years ago, an icon for her time. Now we’ve got Kate Moss!” We can’t wait to see the cover and full spread; the January/February issue should hit newsstands in December so watch this space!

Treat him to… football heroes stamps!

Being a good girlfriend can be tough sometimes, especially as far as fighting over the remote is concerned. If you have been a good girlfriend and let your man watch the footie when his team are playing (even if you’d rather be watching Zooey Deschanel’s latest antics in New Girl) then you’ll know that football season is coming to an end. Great news for you, but it’ll leave a little football-shaped hole in your man’s heart. So, why don’t you treat him to a footie-related present to show him that you do care about him and the sport, and don’t mean to roll your eyes quite as much as you do when he moans incessantly about the ref’s “bad decisions”? We don’t mean buying him an actual football (dangerous around the house) or a full-on kit (we assume he probably has one already anyway and has more than likely bought you your own shirt to wear to the matches) we are referring to the Royal Mail Football Heroes Stamp Collection. This is even more fun if you yourself collect stamps at it means you have yet another activity to enjoy together! As 2013 marks the 150th anniversary of the Football Association and the 140th anniversary of the Scottish Football Association, Royal Mail has picked 11 of the best home international football players to celebrate and immortalise in stamps. And those 11 men are: Jimmy Greaves, John Charles, Gordon Banks, George Best, John Barnes, Kevin Keegan, Denis Law, Bobby Moore, Bryan Robson, Dave Mackay and Bobby Charlton. Do you spot your boyfriend’s favourite player in there? “We realised from the outset that choosing just 11 of the greats who were available for selection would be a difficult task; and one that would lead to much debate – and disagreement – among […]

Roland Mouret on THAT Kate Middleton dress, plus how much the Duchess spent on clothes this year

We think it’s pretty safe to say that the daring cream Roland Mouret dress which Kate Middleton wore last month will be one of her most memorable looks of the year. So what did the designer – who actually created the dress with the Duchess of Cambridge herself – have to say about being a part of such an iconic moment of royal style history? “I think it was quite fantastic that there was a split up the front,” he told the Telegraph. “That picture of a woman when you catch a little of the leg, that’s what you want to see. It’s that notion of privacy. It’s something that should be for her husband and she just shows a glimpse of it and I think that is one of the more amazing moments of life. “You feel happy when you see that. It was not too much. It was with a lot of respect. Yes, I think I did… quite well.” Don’t toot your own horn too much, Roland! Oh heck, who are we kidding, if we were in his shoes we would have screamed it from the rooftops by now! In other Kate Middleton news, Prince Charles revealed that his new daughter-in-law had apparently spent £35,000 on clothes this year already! We can’t work out if that’s too much or too little all things considered… let us know what you think! [Vogue]
