Here it is! We knew Romeo Beckham was back being adorable as ever for Burberry’s Christmas campaign and now the luxury fashion house has released the advert. Titled From London with Love, Romeo effortlessly shows off his dance moves in a monogrammed checked scarf and the iconic Burberry trench coat. Also starring models Hannah Dodds and Anders Hayward the ad showcases all the traditional staples associated with Burberry.”This festive campaign is a celebration of everything we love at Burberry; the trench coat, the cashmere scarf, incredible music, our British weather, and working with great and talented people.” said Christopher Bailey Burberry Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer. Speaking of the star of the campaign Bailey continued, “It continues to be an utter joy working with Romeo – he has charm, style and great energy! I’m delighted that he’s the lead role in our festive campaign.” We dare you to watch the Christmas advert and not get into the festive spirit. We don’t know if it’s Romeo’s cheeky smile, the dancing or the glitter and gold but we’re craving mince pies.

Ant and Dec hosting the 2015 Brit Awards!

The year isn’t even out yet, but we’re already counting down the days ‘til the 2015 Brit Awards. We told you earlier this month that Tracey Emin would be designing the award itself, and now we have equally – if not more – exciting news to share as it’s just been announced that Ant and Dec will be taking over from James Corden as hosts. “We’re really excited to be hosting the BRITs again next year, it is undoubtedly the biggest night in the British music calendar,” the pair said. “We’re especially excited now we’re No.1 recording artists ourselves. We’ll be offering our advice to the fledgling pop stars backstage as to how to have a No.1 hit, as long as they’re prepared to wait 19 years for their records to top the chart like ours did!” Bless them! With Ant and Dec behind the mics, we have every faith that the night will be full of laughs and cheekiness.

Looks like Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne can’t get enough of each other at the moment. As well as working on a rumoured music single together, Pharrell has also been tapped by the Kaiser himself, Karl Lagerfeld, to appear in a Chanel mini movie alongside Cara Delevingne and super adorable six-year-old Hudson Kroenig. Phew. And although it was initially thought that Pharrell and Cara were shooting the music video to their super-secret single in Paris a few days ago, it was in actual fact part of the Chanel mini movie. Kind of confusing but we hope we’ve cleared it up. The movie is reportedly part of the forthcoming Chanel pre-fall show on December 2nd. That’s the day after the British Fashion Awards, FYI. The bikini fashion evolution: From coverage to exposure

The bikini has been around for centuries, evolving quickly to become what we know today. We have gone from the most conservative no show styles to the ones that have left nothing to the imagination. We should appreciate the swimsuit styles over the years and let me tell you I fully support all the changes that were made. Early 1900´s FULL COVERAGE: when the railroad was introduced people began to visit ocean side places. Women´s fashion was these long dresses that were very uncomfortable to enjoy and play at the beach. They were called “bathing gowns” with weights sewed to them, so they will not rise in the water thinking this way they could retain their modesty, but quickly we engaged in a new era… 1930´s LIBERTY: Fashion made history in this year by exposing a little bit of skin and liberating women from long skirts and sleeves. Freedom! Let’s remember that synchronized swimming was very popular so these new designs allow them to flatter more their bodies and techniques. The V back was invented and some started wearing the first bikinis. 1960´s CHANGE: Fashion started changing rather quickly with the introduction of bikinis and low cut bathing suit bottoms. Designers started focusing on taste for the younger market. They were very influenced by the music scene so metallic and printed materials were the revolution. With the impact of the upcoming culture beachwear became less conservative to keep up with the future trends that were impacting society at this point. 1990´s REVOLUTION: The decade of the “thong” bikini started resulting from the sex revolution in the 70´s. Bikini tops were just like bras at this point. Having a tan was the most popular thing in this decade, so the less the better at the beach. Tankinis were introduced by designers […]

Cara Delevingne launches her DKNY collection at Harvey Nichols

Good news for all Cara Delevingne fans on this side of the pond, as you can now get your hands on her DKNY collection at Harvey Nichols. Hooray! Of course, you might already be aware of this as the model attended a huge celebratory event at the store in honour of her epic collaboration at the weekend… and a lot of pictures were taken throughout the evening. Standard! The aforementioned event featured a live performance from National Beat-Boxing champion MC Zani and female vocalist Alyusha, as well as all the latest and greatest tunes blasted out by Kiss FM DJs The Dixon Brothers. A musical and fashionable event all-round! And guests lucky enough to attend were also treated to a lesson in breakdancing from a dance crew, and enjoyed tipples at the Cara Cocktail bar which, as the name suggests, served the model’s favourite drinks all night long. The launch event may be over, but the Cara x DKNY collection is still available at Harvey Nichols London and online at harveynichols.com. Prices range from £65 to £515, but you better hurry as these pieces are selling like hotcakes! We wonder what Cara D’s next collaboration will be… any guesses?

Who is Taylor Swift’s new song Out of the Woods actually about?

Taylor Swift is known for wearing her heart on her sleeve and really dishing the dirt on her past lovers – and her latest song Out of the Woods is no exception. It may be a bit different to the country-music-inspired, upbeat songs that she is known for writing thanks to the dark and haunting pace and tune – but the honesty is still there. In fact we think it might be one of her most candid songs ever… “This song is about the fragility and a kind of breakable nature of some relationships,” she began. “This was a relationship where it was kind of living day to day wondering where it was going, if it was going to go anywhere, if it was going to end the next day. It was a relationship where you kinda never feel like you’re standing on solid ground, and that kind of a feeling brings on excitement but also extreme anxiety and kind of a frantic feeling of wondering. “This song sounds exactly like that frantic feeling of anxiety and questioning but it stresses that even if a relationship is breakable and fragile, and full of anxiety, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t exciting, beautiful and all of the things that we look for.” Woah. Rumours are rife that the song is all about her relationship with One Direction ladies’ man Harry Styles, although we guess only Taylor Swift herself can be 100% certain. We urge you to take a listen to the song when the full version is released later today, and really take the lyrics on board while making your decision… [Grazia]

Keira Knightley’s romantic Valentino Couture look at The Imitation Game premiere

They say all that glitters is gold, and Keira Knightley was the absolute personification of that last night. The actress walked the red carpet for the premiere of her new film, The Imitation Game, as part of the 58th BFI London Film Festival last night… and did a fine job of showcasing the glorious talent that London has to offer. Keira wore a stunning gold, lace tiered dress from the Valentino Couture 2014 collection, and was the epitome of that soft, romantic elegance that Valentino is all about. We love how she kept her hair down in loose waves as it moved almost musically with the wind (which was definitely plentiful last night!) and displayed her gorgeous David Morris earrings at the same time. We didn’t think Keira would let us down on her Imitation Game promotional trail, and we haven’t been disappointed so far. Way to go, Keira!

Leighton Meester covers InStyle UK November, talks about THAT Robin Thicke collaboration

Oh, Leighton Meester, how we have missed you! The former Gossip Girl star and new Mrs Adam Brody (we’re still shocked by this relationship/secret marriage!) is the beautiful cover star of InStyle UK’s November issue… and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her back into our lives! As well as promoting her role in The Judge alongside Robert Downey Jr (out on the silver screen on October 24, FYI), Leighton is also on the promotional trail for her new album Heartstrings. We can’t wait to see her musical talent shine! Although she made a record with Robin Thicke back in 2009 which she said wasn’t really “her”, we think the new album will definitely be Leighton all over… “It was fun, but it wasn’t at all me,” she said of her collaboration with Robin Thicke. “I guess I can look back and say everything happens because you learn from it and you’re better for it. “My favourite thing – at least as far as the music goes, and now, actually, with acting, too – is performing live. It’s so fun.” Does that mean we can expect a Heartstrings tour in the not-so-distant future? Watch this space! In the meantime, you can pick up InStyle UK’s November issue from newsstands right now to read more of Leighton’s interview and see her stunning editorial pictures. Welcome back, Leighton!

Tom Ford explains why he’s leaving London Fashion Week

When Tom Ford announced that he wouldn’t be showing his autumn/winter 2015 collection in London, the capital city was up in arms! However, the designer explained that despite heading to Los Angeles for his new-season collection next year, the move is only temporary, and he will be returning to us in September. Hooray! ”I have loved LA since I first moved there from New York in the early 1980’s,” the 53-year-old Texan designer said. “So many visuals in our world are filtered through Los Angeles including music, television and film and in this way it influences global fashion in a profound way. “Like fashion, film is also a creative endeavour that is extremely important to me. I am excited to bring these two aspects of my life together by presenting the collection in Los Angeles. “I love London, and I am not abandoning London Fashion Week. It’s a one time thing, it made sense for me, and I plan to be back in September. Phew! What he didn’t mention above though was that his temporary move might have something to do with the Oscars, which coincide with London Fashion Week which will begin one week earlier next season. We wonder which lucky starlet he will be dressing for the red carpet… any guesses? [Vogue]

How technology is being used in fashion

Since the Industrial Revolution, companies of all kinds have looked to technological innovations to improve workplace efficiency. Two centuries on and digital technology has permeated every nook and cranny of our lives, with the fashion industry now embracing the very latest technologies to alter the way we look and feel. Technology and fashion have in fact been on a collision course since around 2007, when designer Hussein Chalayan came up with a ‘video dress’ incorporating 15,000 LEDs in its fabric. Now, wearable technology is really taking off and the public has access to innumerable pieces of kit to adorn their persons. A lot of it may not be immediately identifiable as fashion per se, but it marks the start of a new revolution, which is about to sweep through bothworry industries. Demand led The key to good design is meeting a real need, and the need now is to have access to whatever data or technology we want at all times. The best way to do this is to blend the kit into clothing and accessories, and the fashion industry is driving the revolution in wearable technology. This techno-clothing has to look great; otherwise people simply won’t wear it. The technology required to create the devices is becoming more flexible, durable, and affordable, so that the room for innovation is expanding by the day, and designers are able to come up with a range of attractive designs to meet consumers’ aesthetic and practical needs. Sony SmartWatch This attractive smartwatch uses the Android OS and has a 1.6-inch touch screen. It syncs date, time, and weather information over Bluetooth via compatible headphones. Functions such as, controlling the music player and viewing messages, email, Twitter, and Facebook can all be customized, and for fitness fanatics a Walkmate is also available for download. […]

Rita Ora replaces Kylie Minogue on The Voice!

Talent show judges seem to be getting bigger and better as the years go on, don’t they? The latest star to sit in a judging seat is red hot Rita Ora who has just signed on for The Voice, replacing pint sized diva Kylie Minogue. The rest of the coaches – Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson are all returning. “Sir Tom Jones is our rock, Ricky is awesome and it’s our pleasure to welcome the very talented Rita Ora,” Will.i.am said. “Rita is sweet, spicy and sassy – she’s going to be a great addition to the Coaches team.” Here, here! We have to admit that Kylie did a cracking job as a judge and really held her own against the other boys, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t excited to see Rita Ora come in and really mix things up. Between her edgy yet contemporary fashion sense and ground-breaking music, we think she might just be the best – and most relevant – judge yet! Bring on the new series! [BBC]

Pixie Lott is chic and sophisticated in Christian Dior at Scottish Fashion Awards

Last night’s Scottish Fashion Awards weren’t just about the designers who walked on stage to accept their awards. The presenters, musicians and other famous faces also got a lot of attention too – especially newly confirmed Strictly Come Dancing contestant Pixie Lott! The 23-year-old singer (and soon-to-be dancer) attended the Scottish Fashion Awards at Northumberland Avenue with her hunky boyfriend Oliver Cheshire, and treated the guests to a surprise acoustic set. But the thing we want to talk about the most is her outfit… Pixie looked divine in a blue and white satin Christian Dior creation from the spring/summer 2014 collection, proving that elegance and colour-blocking are still very much in style. The pencil dress showed off her sleek and svelte figure – which is only going to get better during her time on Strictly – as well as her maturity. As much as we love the cute and fun dresses she loves to wear on the red carpet, we definitely think we can get on board with her sophisticated new style. And don’t forget you can watch Pixie and the rest of the contestants on Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday. Good luck Pixie!

Everything you need to know about Robert Pattinson’s rumoured new girlfriend

If we are to believe the rumours that are currently doing the rounds in the tabloids and on the internet, Robert Pattinson has officially moved on from Kristen Stewart. And his rumoured new girlfriend is 26-year-old singer FKA Twigs – real name Tahliah Barnett. “It’s the real deal between Rob and Tahliah,” a source reportedly said. “They had been able to keep their relationship secret until recently, but they’re already smitten. He’s been taking her on dates for the last month or so, and has even flown her out to stay with him in New York. He also loves going to her gigs. “The main thing for Tahliah is that the relationship remains low key. She wants to be known for her music, not just as ‘Robert Pattinson’s girlfriend’. She’s worried about being bogged down by constant comparisons to Kristen.” We don’t know about you guys, but she wasn’t on our radar until these R-Pattz rumours surfaced, so maybe she should see the silver lining. After all, world-wide recognition that could do wonders for your career and a shiny new boyfriend all in one week isn’t too shabby, is it? [Glamour] [Image]

The influence of Hollywood glamour isn’t what it used to be

There were times when just about all of the world’s most glamorous women were to be found in and around Hollywood. The movie industry was like a magnet for young girls intent on becoming stars, but in recent times the allure of the film capital of the planet has waned considerably. The question now is will it ever be as popular again? Glamorous icons of the last 100 years or so included some of Hollywood’s biggest and most influential stars. From Paulette Goddard and Tallulah Bankhead to Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, they sashayed across the silver screen and captivated millions in the process. The world watched and the world listened. The allure of these superstars helped to sell everything from designer clothing to cosmetics, not to mention movie tickets, of course. Men wanted to be with them and women wanted to be them, and it seemed at one point that the only way to fame and fortune for women was by making sure they were spotted in Tinseltown. In recent decades, however, many of the world’s most glamorous ladies have come from the world of television and music. One look at those hitting the headlines in the celebrity magazines and advertising products like lip gloss and mineral foundation is enough to show you that Hollywood’s influence is beginning to disappear. Same destination as ever, but a different route to get there A list of the most iconic women in the world of fashion at the moment includes the likes of Victoria Beckham, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna, all of whom are known for their music as much as for their dress sense. It’s difficult to see any of the latest movie stars ever managing to achieve such worldwide fame as this quartet. In a similar vein, many more […]

Katy Perry channels Britney Spears and recreates THAT double denim look for MTV VMAs

Katy Perry didn’t want to go down the ground-breaking/never-before-seen route for her red carpet arrival at the MTV Video Music Awards, oh no. The singer decided to go down the vintage, red carpet hall of fame route, by paying homage to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake and that double denim ensemble. Instead of a curly-haired young Justin Timberlake on her arm though, KP walked the red carpet with rapper Riff Raff. Katy wore a bespoke Versace dress – complete with studs and a sexy high slit – for her modern-day interpretation of the classic Britney look, which she teamed with matching accessories and a denim-clad date. And you know what? We think the pair absolutely nailed the trend! Britney Spears herself thought so too, by Tweeting: ‘@katyperry Just when I thought the denim dress had retired….you bring it back! You looked amazing tonight bb ;).’ We bet Katy Perry is pinching herself! Does this mean that double denim is officially cool again? Thoughts below!

Style Jury: Rihanna vs. Beyonce

Both R&B Queens, huge fashion icons, and most importantly both fabulous; this one is a toughie. We don’t know about you but we’re not a massive fan of the Denim trend, let alone full denim, yet of course, both RiRi and Beyonce show it’s possible for them to wear any trend and nail it. Let’s start with RiRi; the singer was spotted in Beverly Hills with her mother on a shopping spree. Not only is her outfit cool but casual, her hair even while tied up and practical oozes laid back beach glamour. On the other side is Beyonce, one half of music’s biggest ever power couple (sorry Britney and JT that double denim catwalk combo was just catastrophic) not only is she a music Queen (amongst other things) but she also helps rule the fashion world, and she is killing it in double denim. Although she and partner Jay Z have been battling rumours of marriage problems, she shows the world that nothing will stop her from dominating the style world along with RiRi which is what makes this ‘who wore it better’ edition a hard one to decide. Unlike Rihanna however, Beyonce wasn’t being snapped out and about. This picture was posted on her Instagram and official website accompanied with the hashtag ‘#mylife’ – a devotion to Blue Ivy maybe? One thing they both did which distinguished them both from the crowd was accessorize. Rihanna chose a leather cap to add a bit of her signature bad girl edge to the ensemble, along with a denim Juliette Jake Wraparound Clutch which complimented the outfit perfectly, and then finished off the outfit with some sleek nude heels. Beyonce on the other hand opted for a pair of bang on trend Cazal round framed black tinted sunglasses, Christian Louboutin Foillies […]

Get Taylor Swift’s striped bodycon look

Taylor Swift has given us yet another flawless street style look, and once again, we are able to recreate it without totally breaking the bank. Happy days! The country music star – and style maven, may we add – rocked a gorgeous striped bodycon dress from none other than high street saviour Topshop, and luckily for us it’s still in stock in most sizes. To go all-out like Taylor, just add your boldest shade of red lippie and a pink tote bag (it doesn’t have to be the same Prada one she is rocking, although we definitely encourage it!) and you’re good to go. The only thing missing for a full-on Taylor Swift transformation is a guitar and a list of A-list ex-boyfriends… Stripe bodycon tunic, £30, available at Topshop Saffiano lux small tote, £1485.35, Prada available at Saks Pillarbox red lip paint, £5, Barry M available at Isme

Our Top 5 Fashion Photographers

In this social media world where everyone over the age of eight has a smartphone with a camera and in which street style fans are obsessed with finding the perfect lens to capture those great shots, it seems like everyone is a ‘photographer’. But they have a long way to go to reach the heights of the true fashion photography greats. Here’s a list of our five fave photographers in the biz, and the things we love about them: Mario Testino Probably one of the most famous, successful, respected and wealthy photographers in the world – and that isn’t just a coincidence! Why else would the Peruvian economics graduate be trusted with photographing the Royal family time and time again? He shot the late Princess Diana for Vanity Fair back in 1997, and more recently he caught Prince William and Kate Middleton’s engagement on camera for the world to see too. He’s also Anna Wintour and Christopher Bailey’s go-to man when it comes to those respective Vogue cover shoots and Burberry ad campaigns, although those aren’t the only things he spend his time on. Over the years, it’s no exaggeration to say that he just might have shot the majority of the celebrity world, with some of the people posing for his camera including Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne, Gisele, and so many more. What a pro!   Annie Leibovitz Another American Vogue/Anna Wintour favourite – although Annie Leibovitz hasn’t always just been photographing the stars for the biggest fashion glossy in the world. We love the photographer for her infamously controversial pictures including the John Lennon and Yoko Ono nude embrace shot, Angelina Jolie naked in the bath tub (pictured above), and a pregnant (and of course, nude) Demi Moore on the cover of Vanity Fair. And somewhat […]

10 Things to Do this Summer for Free

Summer is a time to enjoy the great outdoors. It is the time to hit the beach, go camping get your friends together and rent a party bus in Amarillo, TX, or take a road trip. Going on a vacation need not be expensive; here are ten activities that won’t break the bank. 1. Go on a road trip Have some extra gas in your tank and it’s a warm summer day? Pack some sandwiches and cans of soda and you’re set. Drive with your car windows open and feel the wind on your face. Although not technically free, a road trip is one of the least expensive ways to get a vacation. It can be considered free as you’ll only be using leftover gas from your weekly gas budget anyway. 2. Cycle across the city Strap on your sandals and put on some sunblock. Bust out the bicycle from storage, oil the gears, and you are ready for an afternoon ride around the city. Explore the city streets you don’t normally take to work or school. Find hidden gems such as little gardens, parks, or little shops of trinkets and antiques. 3. Have a stroll Summer is the perfect season to have a stroll around the neighbourhood. Experience the joy of purposeless walking. Go left or right alternately, or find a walking route recommended by other people in the neighbourhood. Take a small camera with you and take snapshots of flowers and leaves, dogs, cats, and other animals you may encounter on your walks. Document your walking route by taking pictures of street names and shops. 4. Swim If there is a community pool in your town, then it is time to pay them a visit. Enjoy the summer sun and get a tan by the pool side. Bring […]

Taylor Swift parades her pins in monochrome ensemble on The Tonight Show

Taylor Swift has always brought out the sartorial big guns over the years, but we think that she’s outdone herself these past few months. The country music singer attended The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a bit of a chit chat with the host, and looked absolutely gorgeous in the process. While Tay Tay went for old Hollywood glamour with her Monique Lhuillier Resort 2015 dress she wore to The Giver premiere on Monday night, she decided to mix things up by going for a youthful but sexy on this occasion. You only need to look at the short hem and her perfect pins poking out to get the sexy vibe. A versatile dresser is our favourite kind of dresser! Taylor’s dress came courtesy of Bec & Bridge (and is still available at Saks for just under £15o if you hurry!) and her shoes were none other than Prada. We love how she swapped her trademark red lippie for something a little more understated too. We genuinely can’t fault a single part of this look and can’t wait to see what she wears next!

Lady Gaga, Penelope Cruz and Linda Evangelista get their own Harper’s Bazaar US September cover

The all-important September issue is already exciting enough with just one cover star; there are no words to describe how powerful the Harper’s Bazaar US September 2014 issue is, as it has not one or even two, but three gorgeous ladies posing for the front cover in their own individual photo. And those ladies are, in no particular order as they’re all pretty fabulous: Lady Gaga, Penelope Cruz and Linda Evangelista. Well played, HB! The ladies were selected by Harper’s Bazaar global fashion director Carine Roitfeld for being “iconic women” and were each photographed by Sebastian Faena. We don’t think we can cope with this much fabulousness all at once! Although each of the ladies have their own interviews and editorials, it was Lady Gaga’s interview with the legendary Mr Karl Lagerfeld that grabbed our attention. Here’s what she had to tell Kaiser Karl about her next “fashion trip”… “I’ve been recently enjoying looking far and wide for the best vintage fashion I can find. Clothing with a story, a past,” she began. “Heavy fabrics, jewels, veils. My latest trip is feeling a connection to all women throughout history through fashion. “I love wearing clothes knowing that I’m carrying the spirit of previous fashionistas, and living out more of their fantasies, and my own. I believe clothes carry the soul of the designer and the person wearing them forever, so I look for clothes with a soul. Perhaps it’s something only I can see. But I know it’s real.” Clothes with a soul, eh? That sounds like Chanel all over, if you ask us! The rest of the interview is pretty special too, as Karl and Lady G discuss their pampered pets (his adorable kitty Choupette and her equally gorgeous French bulldog Asia who makes an appearance on the front […]

Does Robert Pattinson’s sister have the X Factor?

As well as drooling over Cheryl Cole/Fernandez Versini’s wardrobe and checking out her on screen chemistry with Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges on the panel, we have yet another reason to watch and get excited about this year’s X Factor. And that’s thanks to Robert Pattinson and his (hopefully) super-talented sister Lizzie. “She blew them away with her husky, soulful vocals,” a ‘source’ reportedly told The Mirror. “She’s different to usual X Factor contestants – she really stands out. She could go all the way.” How exciting! R-Pattz fans will already know that when he isn’t pretending to be a vampire in the Twilight films, he is partial to a bit of a singsong with his guitar, so it’s safe to say that the musical talent runs in the family. We hope she makes it to the live finals so we can see his pretty face in the audience every week! Watch this space!

The annual fundraising event that combines both music and fashion will be returning this September, although we have a bit of bad news for Londoners as it’s no longer being held in our fine capital city. Excellent news for New Yorkers though, as the concert is coming to the Big Apple for the first time ever. The Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, to be exact! The event will be sponsored by Calvin Klein, which means we can expect to see the latest collections from Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear, and will feature performances from Jennifer Lopez, Usher, and our very own Rita Ora, among others. Sounds pretty exciting, doesn’t it? Fashion Rocks will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday September 9th – American viewers can tune into CBS and watch it live. We’ll let Brit viewers know where and when to watch it as soon as we know! Are you pleased to see Fashion Rocks return? Are you glad to see it move over to New York or should it have stayed here in London? [Harper’s Bazaar]

First look: Cara Delevingne for Topshop

We told you last month that Cara Delevingne had solely been chosen to model Topshop’s new season pieces for the autumn/winter 2014 ad campaigns… and now it’s finally time to take a look at the very first image from the campaign. So what do you think? Cara was shot by Alasdair McLellan, and we reckon she looks as effortlessly cool as always, looking really comfortable an at ease with some casual skinny jeans and a blazer to sharpen things up. We also love how she is strumming an acoustic guitar in the shot too, as we know how keen she is to break into the music industry. We can’t wait to see the rest of the pics from the ad campaign! They’re due to be released any day now so keep your eyes firmly peeled!

From the popular mud-packed Glastonbury to the dance fuelled ‘V’ festival; there’s something to suit all ages and preferences. If you’re planning on heading to a festival this year, there are quite a few tips you might want to follow. Do you hate getting dirty and can’t stand the thought of not bathing for a whole weekend? If so, you need to either stay at home or be prepared to let yourself go. Festivals are about fun and just enjoying the moment. There are no fancy showers, you’ll be packed closely to other campers and there will be a lot of drinks getting spilled (with a high chance that they’ll end up all over you!). Part of the festival experience is not caring what other people think, allowing yourself to look less than perfect and just enjoying whatever the day brings. Go with an itinerary The Telegraph has published a great article on the top festival survival tips and avoiding the temptation to see everything is just one on the list. The thing is, there is so much happening at festivals that it can be difficult to see the whole lot. By trying to go and experience all that there is to offer, you could end up missing some essential parts of the day. Make sure you do a little research beforehand to see when your favourite acts are playing and what other entertainment is available. Then […]

Fearne Cotton ties the knot in Emilio Pucci

Fearne Cotton really does now have it all. She has a great job, a fantastic social life, the biggest circle of celebrity friends, an adorable baby boy – and now she can add hunky musician husband to that list too. Yep, Fearne Cotton and long term partner Jesse Wood finally tied the knot over the weekend, and she surprised us all with her incredible high fashion wedding dress! The Radio One presenter walked down the aisle in a stunning Emilio Pucci dress created by the brand’s creative director Peter Dundas, which came complete with sparkling sequin embellishment at the top. The tulle dress hugged Fearne’s flawless figure perfectly, and the ankle length made it easy to walk down the aisle with ease. And dance the night away, obviously. To say she looked like a modern day Princess would definitely be an understatement! Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Wood! What do you think of Fearne’s wedding dress? Is it the kind of dress you expected her to wear or did you think she would go down the understated/boho look? [Image]

This House of Holland Beats by Dre strap is all you need this festival season!

Just yesterday we told you about the epic Fendi collaboration with Beats by Dre, and although that was very exciting news, impatient fashionistas weren’t too happy about having to wait until January next year to their hands and ears on a pair. However, Henry Holland is here to save the day, as not only has the designer collaborated with Beats by Dre on a limited edition portable speaker strap (is there anyone the company hasn’t worked with?!) but it’s actually available to buy right now. Well, Monday actually, but that’s not too far away. Hallelujah! The House of Holland Beats by Dre portable Beats Pill XL speaker is bigger and louder than ever, and probably brighter and more colourful too now that Henry Holland has got on board. “The best thing about the Beats pill XL is that you can take it anywhere so why not carry it like a fur trimmed accessory?” he commented. “I can’t wait to see them at Glastonbury and anywhere there’s music and sunshine.” Here’s hoping that Glastonbury remains a sunny and rain-free affair. The exciting thing about the strap – apart from the fact that it’s a direct extension of Henry’s ultra bold and print-tastic Resort collection – is that it can also hold things like iPhones (perfect for festival selfies) and money, so it really is the must-have festival accessory. You can get yours at the official House of Holland website for £269.95 from Monday. [Grazia]

Louis Vuitton museum opening in Paris!

Do you like to head to the Louis Vuitton flagship on New Bond Street and just drool over all the stunning pieces of clothing and accessories? We aren’t ashamed to admit that we have done this on more than one occasion, so we are beyond-excited to reveal that a Louis Vuitton museum is on its way. That means you’re allowed and somewhat encouraged, even, to stand and stare at all the beautiful pieces of craftsmanship for as long as you want. Pretty cool, right? LVMH boss Bernard Arnault has enlisted the help of Canadian architect Frank Gehry to design the museum, and has even designed a limited edition Louis Vuitton handbag for the opening. The Foundation Louis Vuitton museum will be based just on the outskirts of Paris, and is due to open its doors later this year. October 26th, to be exact. The museum will exhibit the corporate art collection that is currently owned by LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, as well as specially commissioned art attractions. The museum building also has an auditorium which means that some of our favourite musicians from Lady Gaga to Beyonce among many others could potentially sing their hearts out in. We can’t wait! Sponsored Post: Customise your favourite denim with Levi’s!

Forget about Ascot and the World Cup; festival season is just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited about it if we tried. While trying to get into the festival spirit, we did some vigorous Googling and YouTubing to try and find footage of old musical performances and pics of festival-goers in their coolest outfits, and one thing definitely stood out: the abundance of denim! And not just any denim, mind – old denim! If it looks like it’s on its last legs and needs throwing out, then it’s the perfect festival piece. If it looks like it’s been customised by the wearer and isn’t a generic high street store pair that everyone has in their wardrobes, then it’s the perfect festival piece. You see where we are going with this. Levi’s has cottoned onto the fact that it’s all about customised denim this festival season, so has come up with a pretty cool and exciting initiative. It’s asking all of you to pop into the Levi’s store with your favourite pair of Levi’s (it can be your trusty pair of jeans, a jacket, a shirt, or the ultimate festival essential: the denim hotpant) and let one of the expert in-house tailors get to work on it, and truly customise it so it stands out from the festival crowd. “With denim playing such an fundamental role in people’s wardrobes, the art of customisation and creating products that tell a story, was never more important than it is today,” said Scott Boyd-Errol, tailor at Levi’s Regent Street flagship store. We couldn’t agree with Scott more; you only have to look at the recent catwalks or street style snaps of our favourite A-listers from Cara Delevingne to Rihanna to know that it’s all about looking unique with old, frayed and […]

Love or hate Kendall Jenner’s risqué Fausto Puglisi dress

We’re going to start the week with a bit of a controversial celeb style feature, thanks to Kendall Jenner and a very risqué Fausto Puglisi dress. Kim Kardashian’s little half-sister attended the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada last night and decided to wear a very attention-grabbing double-slit dress from the Fausto Puglisi autumn/winter 2013 collection for her red carpet arrival. But whether it was the right attention is a different matter altogether… Some might argue that the dress, which featured waist-high slits on both sides and make Angelina Jolie’s Atelier Versace Oscars 2012 dress look tame in comparison, was a little too much for the 18-year-old. Others however, might see it as a bold and brave fashion statement from a successful model. Which camp are you in? We definitely think she rocked the dress just as well as the model from the designer’s lookbook thanks to her never-ending legs and flawless hair and make-up, but don’t think it was the right thing to wear for the occasion. Put her and that dress in a fashion glossy editorial page on the other hand…

Leighton Meester and new hubby Adam Brody hit the Tony Awards red carpet

We’ve been raving about her former Gossip Girl co-star Blake Lively a lot these past few weeks, but now it’s finally Leighton Meester’s turn to get our sartorial praise. The actress and new Mrs Adam Brody (how cute are they as a couple by the way?) stole the show as she arrived at the Tony Awards, which were held at the world-famous Radio City Music Hall in New York City last night. Leighton wore an absolutely stunning white floor-length Antonio Berardi dress from the pre-fall 2014 collection on the red carpet, with an an Emm Kuo clutch bag and her gorgeous new hubby acting as her only accessories. We love the minimal approach Leighton took for this look, but most of all, we love the retro old Hollywood glamour hair style she chose for the occasion. It complements the dress and the rest of her make-up perfectly, which makes this look absolutely flawless from top to toe. What a great look to kick off the week; the standard has been set pretty high!

Beyonce and Solange Knowles take the plunge at Gucci Chime for Change event

Beyonce and her little sis Solange seem to have put elevator-gate firmly behind them, as they looked like the best of friends at the Gucci Chime for Change one year anniversary event in New York last night. Do you think Beyonce told Solange to be on her best behaviour? Beyonce looked heavenly in a plunging white jumpsuit that accentuated all of her bootylicious curves, which she accessorised with black sandals and a very enviable honey blonde mane. Solange also went for white on the bottom, but added a splash of colour by way of a bright orange blouse that was also on the plunging and daring side. Her voluminous curls were back in full force, too; but there was still room on her head for a set of headphones, as Solange even took time out to hit the DJ booth and provide some musical entertainment for the rest of the guests. That’s our girl! [Image]

Brandy vs. Nicki Minaj…Who wore Alexander McQueen better?

One dress, two girls. Yep, you know the drill. This week, at fashion loggerheads are singers Nicki Minaj and Brandy, who recently stepped out in an identical, black Alexander McQueen gown, from the spring 2014 collection. Featuring a cut-out design around the waist area, and a strap running across the top of the chest, the figure-skimming gown made for a demure evening look. First up to take to the red carpet in the gown was Brandy, when she attended the 45th NAACP Awards Non-Televised Awards Ceremony back in February. Opting for sleek tresses and minimal accessories – save for a clutch and cocktail ring – Brandy rounded of her look with strong evening-glam eyes and strappy sandals. But catching up with Brandy in the race for gown glory was rap queen Nicki Minaj, who wore the same look to the Billboard Awards earlier this month. Having recently debuted a more subdued side to her over-the-top Barbie persona, the singer gave us a very sultry red carpet look. Retro waves, two wrist cuffs and statement earrings provided the perfect finishing touches to Ms. Minaj’s most un-Barbie look, whilst make-up was kept extremely subtle. The one standout ‘feature,’ we have to say, was the clever display of underboob that peeped out from under the cut-out detail. Well, it’s Nicki… So, whose look takes the trophy this week? We’re giving this one to…Nicki! Everything, from the muted accessories to the expert flash of cleavage, works for this look. Surprising, we know, but Nicki’s nailed this one without taking it into trashy territory. Brandy looks great, too, but the look just doesn’t scream “WOW!” on her. Agree with our style verdict? Whose look wins for you [Images: Brandy; Nicki]

Freida Pinto stuns in Oscar de la Renta on Cannes Film Festival red carpet

Red carpets were being rolled out left, right and centre over the weekend. From the Cannes Film Festival in, well, Cannes, to the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas to the BAFTA TV Awards right here in London, celebs from all over the world were getting glammed up, ready for their close-up. Despite all the different occasions happening over the weekend, we were once again enamoured by an A-lister’s look at the Cannes Film Festival… and that A-lister is none other than Freida Pinto. Freida Pinto really does take the “go big or go home” dress code of Cannes very seriously, as we always find ourselves in awe of her red carpet looks year after year. And we think her appearance on The Homesman premiere red carpet just might be one of her greatest looks yet. The actress wore a full-length strapless gown from the Oscar de la Renta autumn/winter 2014 collection, with the gorgeous coral colour complementing her hair and skin-tone wonderfully. Simple gold jewellery and a sleek up-do provided the flawless finishing touches.

It could be a gift for a loved one or simply a nice way to document something in your life – a scrapbook is a great way to display the things you want it to and in the way you want, too. The best way to start a scrapbook is to be sure you know what you want to scrap about. Start with a brainstorming activity and think about what it is you want to include in this scrapbook – whether it is a gift for someone, or for yourself to keep and show the children when they get older. Homecrafts is a good way to find inspiration for scrapbooks, if you have a theme you can search for particular items that you might want to include on a scrapbook page: patterned paper, coloured or glittered pens, embellishments and fun lettering, to name a few. There is no end of items that you could use in a scrapbook, hundreds of personal things that you could include as well as products purchased from a craft shop. The world is literally your oyster and the limits are only your imagination. You may have a theme for a scrapbook from a particular hobby that you enjoy, making music or sewing creations that you want to document along the way and a popular idea is recipes. The Met Gala 2014: The best dressed!

All the big names in fashion, film, and music gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last night, for the highly anticipated Met Gala! This year, the museum was honouring Charles James, and the dress-code was a very simple (albeit slightly “boring” according to Marc Jacobs) “white tie and decorations”. Anyone familiar with the work of Charles James would know that elegant eveningwear was his thing, so they wouldn’t have gone wrong by donning the finest couture pieces with some elegant jewels. There were many ladies who absolutely nailed their looks, while some probably should have stayed home. Stella McCartney had a big moment on the red carpet, dressing the likes of Rihanna and Reese Witherspoon so flawlesslessly for the event, in two very different but equally stunning dresses. Rihanna went for her signature sexy look, while Reese was a vintage glamour goddess. Selena Gomez also wowed on the red carpet for us, looking very mature for just 21 years old in a bold deep purple Diane von Furstenberg dress. We also love how Gossip Girl stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester were reunited at the Met Gala – they both looked amazing in  their respective Gucci Premiere and Emilio Pucci dresses. Not all of the ladies went for full-length or ballgown dresses (like Hayden Panettiere who looked like a Princess!) though – Solange Knowles and Lena Dunham were just two of the stars who went for something a little bit shorter. The impact definitely wasn’t lost though. Here are our best dressed celebs from last night’s Met Gala. Let us know who gets your vote in the comments below. Victoria Beckham in Victoria Beckham Rihanna in Stella McCartney Blake Lively in Gucci Premiere Reese Witherspoon in Stella McCartney Selena Gomez in Diane von Furstenberg Emma […]

Lily Allen covers Glamour UK’s June issue, talks about missing “free clothes and handbags”

June magazine covers are already starting to emerge, and we’re pretty excited that Glamour UK has chosen Miss Lily Allen (or Mrs Lily Rose Cooper if we’re being technical) as its June cover star. And it looks like she has waved goodbye to the multi-coloured hair and gone for a more natural – yet equally, if not more striking – colour instead. Lily Allen doesn’t beat around the bush which is why she makes a great interviewee. We love the answers she gave when she was asked about the real reason she returned to the music industry and the limelight. A girl after our own hearts… “I wasn’t good at staying at home all day, it didn’t suit me. I’m creative, it’s just who I am,” she told the mag. “I missed the positive feedback about my music from my fans. I missed the rush of performing. I missed the free clothes and handbags and the good tables in posh restaurants. I did!” We’ve seen Lily toting more than a few covetable handbags in her time (Chanel included) so we totally don’t blame her! You can read the rest of her interview and see her pose for more pics in Glamour UK’s June issue, out Monday.

Rumer Willis is Worst Dressed of the Week in Franziska Fox

We understand: celebrities can’t always get it right. Perfection may seem like a never-ending quest for these ‘super-beings,’ but even they’re prone to falling flat on their prettified faces if caught setting a sartorial foot wrong. Making us squirm in our seats this week is Rumer Willis, who wore a very questionable ensemble to the ELLE 5th annual Women in Music concert, earlier this week. Opting for a crop top and ultra-revealing cut-out skirt from the Franziska Fox fall 2014 collection; it’s safe to say she left very little to the imagination. From the waist-up, she looks amazing; the toned abs, tousled, side-swept hair and accessories are on-point. But from the waist-down, it’s a very different story… The figure-hugging skirt features a crotch-revealing cut-out design on one side, making for a pretty tasteless choice in clothing for an occasion celebrating such a great cause. The Sigerson Morrison caged sandals get our vote, but this trashy outfit is definitely worth, erm, trashing! What do you think of Rumer’s look? [Image: Zimbio]

Treat Your Loved Ones the Right Way This Festival Season

The summer months are hot in India but they usually herald the beginning of festival season. India has a lot of festivals and almost all of them are celebrated with pomp and gusto. Most of the festivals are celebrated locally with pujas being mandatory, but others usually require families to splurge on gifts for themselves and for loved ones, according to the website Hinduism. Festivals also tend to vary according to state. For example, Maharashtrians love their Ganapthi and Holi while Bengalis prefer to celebrate these festivals on a low-key level. On the other hand, Bengalis go all out for Durga Pooja with food and festivities and celebrate it on a different level as compared to the rest of India. As a result, even though the festivals are the same, an interesting article states that different communities may choose to celebrate them on different levels. The common thread that runs through all festivals is spending and buying. India is a diverse country but most festivals are celebrated all over the country at different levels. The traditional festival season kicks off with Ganapathi, continues with Navrathri or Durga Pooja, and finally closes down with the popular Diwali or Festival of Lights. The entire season may spread out over three months and new clothes, sweetmeats, religious items, flowers, etc. are mandatory. Some communities also require extensive gifting to friends and family during these auspicious festivals. It is not possible to provide a complete guide to festival etiquette, but almost all Indian festivals are expensive and gifting can be really tough to manage. Internet Shopping Makes It Easier Although Internet shopping has been around for several years now, the industry has seen a tremendous boost in the last two to five years. This is because online retailers have streamlined their shops to cater […]
