Below, you’ll learn everything there is to know about turning your personal space into your personal spa! Electric Aroma Diffuser The very first thing that can completely change the atmosphere in your home is an electric aroma diffuser. This doesn’t compare to scented sticks – the aroma diffused by suck a product is much sharper and more pleasant. On top of that, aroma diffusers are also economic – you don’t have to spend a lot of money on essential oil to have a nice smell in your home for the entire day. Scented and Relaxing Bath Bombs When it comes to relaxation, few things beat a hot bath with soothing fragrances and luxurious bubbles. 6 Of The Most Boring Gifts Made Interesting

There are certain gifts that have a reputation for being slightly boring. However, by getting creative, you could turn these boring gifts into much more exciting and unique gifts. Why not gift something personalised using a site such as special moment christening gifts for example? In this article we look at some boring gifts made interesting. Socks A standard pack of socks isn’t a very interesting gift. And when you think of boring christmas gifts, socks usually top the list. If you’re going to gift socks for a loved one, opt for some unique or luxury socks. You could consider a pair of cosy alpaca wool socks – these are the perfect winter gift. Alternatively, you could look into personalised socks – some companies allow you to add a custom name or personal message, while others even allow you to print photos on socks (this could be ideal for a funny gift).  Mugs Don’t settle for a generic Best Dad Ever mug. Instead look into companies that sell mugs and other drinkware with personalised messages (this selection of Father’s Day gifts offers a few great examples). Another option could be to look into fun thermochromic mugs. These are mugs that change colour or change image when you put hot liquid in them. Check out some of these fantastic thermochromic mugs. Chocolates Avid chocoholics may be happy with a regular box of chocolates. But if you want to make your gift memorable, it’s worth looking beyond your average tub of chocolates. One way could be to go big – consider an extra-large chocolate bar such as a giant Toblerone or consider creating your own chocolate tree. Another way could be to personalise a chocolate gift. This could be a chocolate plaque with a personal message written on it in icing or […]

Romantic Dinner Dates: Style Tips To Steal The Show

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, restaurants are about to be packed to the rafters; full of couples celebrating their relationship, and potentially some who are just meeting for the first time! It doesn’t matter which of the above categories you fall into. You may have been with your partner for decades, or you might be about to meet them for the first-time courtesy of the now-common dating apps. Regardless, looking your best is key, and through today’s post we will take a look at some of the easy fashion tips you can implement, whether you are hitting somewhere special like Covent Garden for Valentine’s Day or simply your hometown.  Go for the compliments We all have some go-to outfits in our wardrobe which tend to draw compliments. Suffice to say, this is what you should be wearing on these occasions. This isn’t necessarily to grab even more compliments (although this is of course a great side effect). Instead, it’s about oozing confidence. If you know that a particular outfit often draws admiration, turning to this on your dinner date is likely to put your mind at rest and allow you to concentrate more on the situation in question. Stay comfortable In a similar vein, staying comfortable is also of paramount importance. What’s the last thing you want when trying to feel your best? Struggling to walk in your footwear or wrestling with an uncomfortable dress. Find something that makes your feel utterly fabulous, but also allows you to enjoy the whole night.  What about the casual date? Of course, not all dinner dates have to be in sophisticated, high-end restaurants. Nowadays, at a push, dinner dates can even be in small establishments (even coffee shops). So, if yours falls into said category, what’s the trick? The best way […]

7 fab Fashion Month essentials!

For some people, February is all about Valentine’s Day, but for all the budding fashionistas in the world, the month of Feb is all about fashion. New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week – all four cities which have their own distinctive and irreplaceable style! So, dressing for Fashion Month – regardless of the city or how much show-watching you’ll actually be doing – has to be done right. You need to get the dressing for the chill and dressing stylishly balance just right. We think we’ve got it sorted with our seven suggestions below; what say you? 1. Ah the great Fashion Week footwear dilemma! Do you go for sky high heels to complement your cute dress and to be the same height as the rest of the ladies and models or do you go for comfort? Nine times out of 10 we would have gone for the former, but since flat shoes are loved by the likes of Alexa Chung and Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel, we think we’re going to go for flats this season. Plus just think how warm these boots will be? 2. The bag is probably one of the most important accessories. If you’re a high fashion magazine editor, a celebrity or someone who won’t be working at Fashion Week, by all means go for an adorable little clutch bag that fits a mobile phone and extra lippie – especially if you’re being chauffeured around from show to show. But for the rest of us who have to slum it and walk to shows, a good sized bag to fit everything from iPads to chargers to make-up bags to an extra pair of flats to food (yes we all need to refuel between shows) is absolutely vital! 3. Wining and dining a loved one in Champagne

There are few things in life more romantic than a glass of Champagne. Whether it’s the elegant glasses, the lightness of the bubbles, or the sound of the popping of corks, Champagne has entered the public consciousness as being synonymous with the glamour and romance. So to show your loved one how you feel, why not plan a trip to the Champagne region of France? Planning ahead can get you some excellent champagne deals, saving you money to spend on wine and food while you’re out there. A region rich in vineyards, famous for its world class cuisine and only a stone’s throw from Paris – Champagne is arguably the most romantic destination in the world. Food According to the Michelin Guide, Champagne has a multitude of fine dining options. Restaurant Chez Max is a small, local restaurant in Epernay, which serves seasonal food and changes its menu every week to ensure that everything is as fresh and in season as possible. If you want to get a sense of how the locals eat, then restaurants like this are the best place to do it. The quality of food throughout Champagne is so high that one of the best options is to simply allow yourself to get lost in one of the towns or villages in the region. Find somewhere off the beaten path and let yourself get swept away with the charm of the welcome and the food. Adventure is the key to romance. Drink Of course, there’s no way you can travel all the way to Champagne without trying the wares that made it famous. The locals refer to the region as ‘La’ Champagne, and the drink as ‘Le’ Champagne. It’s simply not possible to get a bad glass of wine in the region. A brilliant setting for […]

Peek Rosie Huntington Whiteley’s Valentine-inspired lingerie collection

It shouldn’t take a Hallmark holiday to tempt women to splurge on sexy underwear, but nevertheless, Rosie Huntington Whiteley has used Valentine’s Day to her advantage by creating her latest Autograph for Marks and Spencer collection around Cupid’s favourite day of the year. “As this collection is launching so close to Valentine’s Day, it was more important than ever to make sure that all the new colours complemented all skintones,” Rosie said. “We decided upon a gorgeous palette of blush pinks and warm neutrals which every woman will love to wear.” Rosie’s spring/summer lingerie collection for Marks and Spencer Autograph features sumptuous, soft and romantic pieces that would be perfect for V-Day (and every other day of the year!) and has even expanded into nightwear, as you can now find gorgeous babydolls and nightdresses in there too. Elle Style Awards 2011 worst dressed: Emilia Fox

There’s an obscene amount of pressure to look as cool as you can at such a fashionable event like the Elle Style Awards, and it obviously overwhelmed actress Emilia Fox. The look is too haphazard, let down again by messy hair and mismatching jewellery. Better luck next time. Let us know your thoughts by voting in our poll below! [poll id=”32″]
