Oscars 2008: Best and Worst Dressed

With the exception of Marion Cotillard’s, Jean Paul Gaultier mermaid gown, complete with flaking fish scales and tail (although the dress was a bit too “theme-y, it was nice to see someone take risks on the red carpet) nearly every leading lady dressed in the classic hues , black and red…feathers, one shoulder, and Grecian-inspired gowns were also big, and simple silhouettes served as a canvas for dripping displays of diamonds.

My favourite look of the night however was Keri Russell who was stunning in a pristine, ethereal, Nina Ricci gown, and the gorgeous 46-carat-diamond necklace draped around her slight frame didn’t hurt the cause.

Worst dressed went to Oscar winner, Tilda Swinton, in an androgynous, loose fitting, single sleeved black dress by Lanvin.
