It was impossible to miss one of this season’s trends all over the catwalks; yes I’m talking about the statement necklace! Dries Van Noten, Cavalli and Amarni amongst others all loaded up their models with over sized beads, pearls and flowers, evidently with the shared philosophy; the bigger the better!

On searching for a killer statement necklace I came across new jewellery label Bex Rox and fell instantly in love with the deco inspired necklaces. My favourite the ‘Tumi deco’ is made in golden python print leather and pink suede and certainly ticks the ‘statement’ box.

The entire collection is bold and unique with interesting design statements such the gold plated fossilised sharks tooth, which can be purchased as a charm or as part of a bracelet. Faceted semi precious stones drip from chunky luxe chains and colour is used masterfully in ethnic inspired beaded jewellery. I wasn’t surprised to learn that Bex Rox designs had been used on the catwalk, notably by Cynthia Thyssen.

The bad news is these treasures don’t come cheap, ranging from £100 – £300 but the website is worth a visit even if only to lust at, and you never know, Santa might be feeling very generous this year!
