Steep vs Cheap: the wedge boot

9th September 2010 3:00 pm

The wedge boot is fab for autumn/winter – not only is it highly comfortable but it’s a great way to raise your height and remain chic all at the same time.

One wedge we’ve fallen head over heels for in particular is Stella McCartney‘s ankle lace-up boots. They’ll look super-stylish with thick black tights and chunky knits, and the rubber sole is a perfect foundation for those icy mornings.

Sadly we don’t have an endless budget, but with the new-season style being featured by all our favourite high street stores, you don’t have to spend a small fortune to stay on trend – we’ve found a fab designer-inspired pair from New Look for a fraction of the cost.

A great copy with their massive platform and added sheepskin trim to boot, they’re sure to keep your feet toasty and dry in the drizzling rain without blowing the budget.

Get these limited edition New Look designer doubles for the bargain price of £75 at NewLook.com – or, if you can afford to splash the cash, snap up Stella McCartney‘s boots at Net-a-Porter for £315.

Race you to the tills…

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
