Alexa Chung models for (and directs) Superga’s latest ad campaign!

29th March 2012 10:40 am

Good old multi-tasking, multi-talented Alexa Chung! Not only did the British presenter and newly appointed Superga creative director get all spruced up to pose pretty for the brand’s ad campaign, but she also mucked in behind the scenes and help direct it too. What a champ!

Alexa Chung was apparently only given one instruction for the shoot, which was to “go create”, so that’s exactly what she did. She reportedly took photographer Guy Aroch with her and they headed straight for Miami. Alright for some…

Ms Chung chose the iconic 2750 shoes for the photoshoot, which are a classic design that have pretty much stayed the same since they were first created way back in 1925.

As expected, the pictures are cool, edgy, somewhat vintage inspired, and generally have Alexa Chung written all over them. We think she did a cracking job, so hopefully there will be more self-directed projects where this came from!

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
