Once again, there’s a lot of Milan Fashion Week catching up to do this morning, so let’s crack right on and show you some of our favourite collections – and stand-out pieces from aforementioned spring/summer 2013 collections!

Donatella Versace did what she does best and presented yet another lavish collection comprising of equally glamorous and downright sexy pieces all-round. The light, flowing dresses that came out towards the end of the show were particularly red carpet-worthy, and given Angelina Jolie‘s recent dedication to wearing Versace to the big awards ceremonies, we can’t help but envision her gliding along the red carpet in one of thoe creations next year.

Elsewhere on the Milan catwalks, Roberto Cavalli stuck to what he knows for the Just Cavalli show and presented us with bold, vivid, playful and contemporary prints, colours and textures for his very wearable collection, while Giorgio Armani continued the very popular aquatic theme of the new season. He even went as far as giving his models blue/silver beret-style hair accessories.

We were definitely looking forward to seeing what Jil Sander had to offer, as the designer returned to her eponymous label for the first time in eight years. Jil Sander’s vision for the new season certainly differed to what Raf Simons tried to implement during his time at the helm of the brand, but the new collection actually proves that Jil Sander is one of those labels that the phrase “investment buy” is very appropriate for as the pieces are as timeless as they come!

Dolce and Gabbana‘s very Italian collection was another highlight for us – it’s clear to see that the boys have had more time to work on the line now that D&G is no more. According to the show notes, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were inspired by famous puppets from Sicilian street theatre; pretty cool, right? We predict the ad campaigns for the spring/summer 2013 season are going to be out of this world now that we know the story behind them!

Come back tomorrow for the final collections from Milan Fashion Week!
