Exciting news this morning, guys: Opening Ceremony is coming to London.

As the Olympics are also heading to the Capital in a few months, Opening Ceremony has decided to make the most of this by launching a special pop up shop ahead of the Games’ “opening ceremony”… you see what they did there? Utter genius!

The pop up shop will be on King Street in Covent Garden, and feature pieces from the likes of Proenza Schouler, Pamela Love and Chloe Sevigny among others. The permanent Opening Ceremony store, which will open its doors for the first time in the autumn, will reside on 35 King Street.

“Bringing Opening Ceremony to Covent Garden is an important next step in the growth of our company,” co-founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim told WWD. “In the last 10 years since we first opened our doors on Howard Street in New York, Opening Ceremony has expanded to Los Angeles and Tokyo, but we have had our hearts set on London since the beginning.

“Covent Garden is an historic, global shopping destination and we’re looking forward to what Opening Ceremony will add to its exciting future.”

So are we. Hurry up please, July!
