Monsoon’s managing director, Matt Hudson, will be stepping down from his role at the luxury high street store at the end of this month.

Hudson , who joined Monsoon as managing director in April last year after leaving his position as trading director for womenswear, girlswear and lingerie at Marks and Spencer , is to be replaced by Peter Ridler.

Ridler is currently managing director at sister store Accessorize, and will now lead both brands simultaneously.

A Monsoon spokesperson told Drapers: “As a result of this [Hudson’s departure], the company will be reorganising its management structure and consolidating both brands under the leadership of Peter Ridler.

Meanwhile, Monsoon are also on the look out for a new buying and design director.

Why all the changes, we have to wonder? It all seems very hush-hush at the moment.
