One of the main things I love about summer fashion is all its’ gorgeous, light, wispy ensembles you can wear with ease. When the sun comes out, so does my more adventurous side, and never is this more so than on holiday. For a few weeks of the year, you can prance around in silk, chiffon and other delicate fabrics like you’re a centrefold in Vogue.
Top of my wish list this year is Matthew Williamson’s silk blur palm kaftan. The multicoloured silk design is fabulously otherworldly, and its one-shouldered cut is perfect for the sunshine. The silver beaded embellishment around the neckline only adds to its appeal.
It’s officially a kaftan so it can, of course, be worn over swimwear on the beach, but I think it’s far too nice to get covered in sun cream.
I’d pair this beauty with some silver sandals in the day or rock it in the evening with a pair of heels. All I need now if to book my holiday…
