No one can deny that Alexa Chung is a firm presence in the fashion world – a bright star if you will, that doesn’t appear to be fading any time soon. Not only does she have new reality TV show in the pipeline and a collection for Madewell, she’s also the new face of Vero Moda.

And, after months of waiting, we’ve finally got our hands on the first images from Vero Moda’s autumn/winter 2011 campaigns with Alexa Chung showcasing just what the brand’s new collection is all about.

“Alexa Chung is an inspiring woman to work with,” Katja Hundrup, a spokesperson for Vero Moda says.

“She knows her fashion references and is able to combine high-end designer items with high street and vintage in a unique way, putting personality into whatever she wears.”

From what we can see, there are Seventies-inspired pieces aplenty, with tulle ballerina dresses, quirky head pieces, dotted prints and, of course, Chung-approved Peter Pan collars to boot.

Even if Vero Moda was an unusual brand choice for Alexa, we have a feeling the Chung will ensure it has a rightful place on the fashion map in no time.
