We love it when celebrities ditch the traditional dress code in favour of more quirky, up-tempo ensembles. Rita Ora: the new girl on the block who’s taking the music, fashion and star gossip charts by storm did just that at this week’s NME Awards.

She looked a heavenly vision in white with an interestingly rebellious edge at the Awards, held at the Brixton Academy on Wednesday; sporting a fluid, white Hussein Chalayan spring/summer 2012 suit.

The Hot Right Now singer ensured her look didn’t fall into boardroom territory by accessorising with gold jewellery and spikes. Rita opted for various gold necklaces, bracelets and rings, and finished her look with a statement Christian Louboutin ‘Marquise’ python clutch. She chose to break up the whitewash with nude peep toe B Brian Atwood ‘Bambola’ pumps.

Showcasing her signature beach wave blonde curls, Rita opted for a strong scarlet nail colour offset by a nude lip and strong eyes.

Rita’s edgy sense of style gives a clear indication of the direction her musical talent will take. She’ll definitely keep surprising the showbiz masses, and, we feel she bears an uncanny resemblance to our other rebel favourite: Rihanna.
