What better way to help Marc Jacobs celebrate his birthday than to talk about his brand new fragrance, eh?

We actually have no idea when this man finds time to sleep, as just last week it was announced that the designer also has a new cosmetics line with Sephora in the pipeline!

Marc’s new fragrance – which will act as a sister to his hugely popular Daisy and Lola scents – is entitled ‘Dot’ and was inspired by his love of the classic shape and pattern.

“A dot is timeless and a pattern I always love, and round shapes are always beautiful,” he said. “I liked the idea of these hybrid butterfly-ladybugs, which suggest a sort of free spirit and femininity and playfulness. And, of course, ladybugs mean good luck.”

Aww – then we’d say the bottle definitely does his vision justice, as showcased by 19-year-old model Codie Young. So, we’ve covered the aesthetics, but what about the all-important smell, you ask?

It’s apparently less florally than Daisy and Lola, and instead features notes of red berries, dragon fruit, honeysuckle, jasmine, coconut water, orange blossom, vanilla, driftwood, and musk. Sounds divine – we can’t wait to smell it for ourselves!
