Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better than the Alberta Ferretti for Macy’s Impulse collection, it’s been revealed that Nicole Richie will be the next designer to collaborate with the brand!

Nicole will therefore follow in the footsteps of fashion greats such as Karl Lagerfeld and Matthew Williamson (among others) by creating a collection for the Macy’s Impulse line. Nicole’s offering is slated for release in September later this year.

The collection apparently “represents the many different layers of a modern woman,” Nicole Richie told WWD.

“Women are wearing so many different hats these days. We are evolving. Not just working, but creating. This collection has a strong mix of masculine and feminine: printed chiffon mixed with faux leathers. I focused on the details, from the zipper pulls to the buttons.”

We are suckers for attention to detail… and Nicole’s Winter Kate and House of Harlow collections prove that she does ‘fine detailing’ well.

We’re very excited about this collaboration and think it might possibly be the best one yet!
