As well as giving us a killer four-day weekend, the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations mean that we will be treated to lots of Kate Middleton looks as she performs her royal duties.

Despite the weather being dim, cloudy and wet, the Duchess of Cambridge brightened up the proceedings in her bold Alexander McQueen dress, Lock & Co hat designed by Sylvia Fletcher, and surprise, surprise, trusty nude L.K Bennett heels.

The inspiration for the dress came from the pre-fall 2011 collection – which both Kim Kardashian and X Factor’s Tulisa Contostavlos have previously worn – although Kate’s version was made bespoke by Sarah Burton herself. That’s Princess power for you!

We do love it when the Duchess goes for bold colours – as much as we loved her recent pale pink Emilia Wickstead and adored her white sexy Reem Acra gown, nothing makes a statement quite like a bold red number, don’t you agree?
