If you love those classic and iconic open heart necklaces from Tiffany’s then you’re in luck because they aren’t going anywhere!

The silver open heart (like in the pic above) and many other similar and extremely popular designs is the intellectual property of Italian designer Elsa Peretti, which means that it would bid a sad farewell to Tiffany’s when the designer herself decides to leave.

“Elsa’s designs are as timeless as they can be,” a spokesperson for Tiffany said. “It was our intention to make sure that her designs remain at Tiffany for a long period of time.”

And it looks like they will be staying at Tiffany’s for a while because the designer has reportedly signed on for another 20 years with the jewellery brand, meaning she gets a staggering £29 million while the brand continues to use her designs. We can totally see why the brand is keen to keep her on board, as her designs account for a whopping 10% of Tiffany & Co’s final sales… not too shabby, huh?!
