Jason Wu has been appointed the new creative director of Hugo Boss’s Boss womenswear label, meaning he will be in charge of both ready-to-wear and accessories. A big responsibility but we reckon he’s up to it!

“I have long been a fan of Hugo Boss’ vast tradition and lineage in extraordinary tailoring,” he said. “With the state-of-the-art facilities that are unique to the Hugo Boss design labs, I plan to develop a strong, feminine womenswear collection that reciprocates the brand’s authority in menswear.”

Sounds promising. We can expect to see Jason Wu’s first offering for Hugo Boss during New York Fashion Week in February. We wonder how he will combine masculine influences in the womenswear…
