Beautiful Downton Abbey star Laura Carmichael got her Wimbledon wardrobe just right for the first day of the prestigious tennis tournament yesterday.

Opting to wear something far more attention-grabbing than the classic white ensembles that are favoured in SW19, the British actress rocked up to the Evian Live Young Suite in a striking floral Erdem dress that brought some much needed colour and print to the proceedings.

We think it was very appropriate for the weather, event, and season. The floral detailing is a great nod to the summer (the season, not the weather – it was unfortunately very cloudy for the first day of Wimbles which might have put people off wearing all-white), but is quite subtle in terms of the colour palette used. Laura kept the rest of her look simple, wearing her hair down and opting for minimal accessories. Spot on, we say!
