We bet it hasn’t been that long since you’ve come back from your highly anticipated summer holiday in the Mediterranean, but you’re already getting withdrawal symptoms and want to pack your suitcase for another vacay before the year is out. We’re not wrong, are we?

If you’re anything like us, we bet you’re hoping to swap the sand for the slopes and get yourself on a super-fun skiing holiday, and we all know that chilly weather conditions call for a serious wardrobe update.

Your Burberry trench coat or Balenciaga leather jacket just aren’t going to cut it at the ski resort (although a cashmere jumper wouldn’t be out of place inside the cabin as you warm up by the fire with marshmallows and hot chocolate) but luckily there’s a generous selection of ultra warm and mega stylish coats available that won’t break the bank. After all, paying for the holiday and equipment will make a bit of a dent in your bank balance!

Here are three of our favourite women’s winter jackets

1. The North Face Women’s Miss Metro Parka. You can always rely on The North Face for a practical yet stylish piece of outerwear. This parka has a removable adjustable hood for your convenience, as well as chin guard lining, a quilted body and zip hand pockets to keep your paws warm when they’re not clutching skiing equipment. And it’s machine washable too!

2. Patagonia Women’s Down Wweater Full-Zip Hoody. If you feel a bit restricted by a full-on coat or jacket, then this is the perfect piece for you. It’s super-light, windproof and water-resistant, keeping you warm and dry from morning to night.

3. Obermeyer Women’s Bombshell Jacket. Waterproof and breathable, tailored to fit and fully insulted with FiberDown insulation. We love the faux fur detailing at the hood which gives an otherwise sporty coat a much-needed chic and stylish twist. If you get bored of it you can always remove it, which it always a good option to have.
