We’ve had Golden Globes fever here at MFL today! After sifting through a ton of dress releases at a ridiculously early hour this morning and drinking copious amounts of coffee while debating on who should make the cut, we’ve finally managed to narrow down our faves.
We must admit, quite a few celebs “got it right”. We were treated to a variety of dreamy dresses, from strapless to cut-out, thigh-high splits and one-shouldered gowns with white being the most popular colour of choice. Selecting the final 10 was a challenge to say the least. But we did it!
Here’s our 10 best dressed celebs at the 2015 Golden Globes…
Amy Adams was the epitome of old school glam in a custom-made, one-shouldered Atelier Versace gown embellished with Swarovski crystal detail on the back and wore the Jimmy Choo “Patsy” platform sandals to complete her look.
Anna Kendrick nailed it in a Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2015 blush tulle sleeveless v-neck gown with ruby beading paired with Brian Atwood’s “Tribeca” sandals.
Her crying face might be the most embarrassing meme from the night but model Chrissy Teigen radiated in a blush pink beaded gown by Zuhair Murad.
Diane Kruger was every inch the ice-maiden in this silver shimmery gown by Emelia Wickstead. We can all agree that everything about this outfit screams “gorgeous!”.
Possibly our favourite of the evening, Felicity Jones was classic and oh-so chic in a Dior Haute Couture petrol blue silk faille gown paired with a a Dior clutch. The actress also opted for the satin Tribeca sandals by Brian Atwood (custom-dyed to match her dress).
Oh Heidi, why oh why are you so damn stunning? We were literally lost for words when we saw the supermodel in this red silk chiffon custom-made Atelier Versace gown. Amazing! Jimmy Choo’s “Jane” sandal complimented her dress perfectly.
Jessica Chastain showed off her assets in a bronze custom-made Atelier Versace pleated floor length gown with a plunging neckline. Beautiful!
Giving Elizabeth Hurley’s legendary Versace gown a run for its money, Kate Hudson looked nothing short of fabulous also in a custom-made Atelier Versace gown with side cut-outs and Swarovski crystal beading detail at the waist.
Now this may be a tad controversial as Kerry Washington’s look wasn’t received too well, actually she’s landed on a number of worst dressed lists. But, we think she looks lovely in this two-tone gown by Mary Katranzou. Thoughts?
SALMA HAYEK PINAULT
Alexander McQueen was Salma’s choice for the evening. The actress looked gorge in an AW11 Ivory & silver brocade bustier gown and silver buckle belt complete with a Chesnut knuckle box clutch both by the British designer.
One of the most talked about women of 2014, Amal Clooney made her debut at this years Golden Globes in a Dior Haute Couture black silk crêpe gown and she didn’t disappoint!
