Designer, Donald Brooks dies at 77

Fashion designer and one of the founding members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Donald Brooks has died at age 77. According to WWD, the designer died on Monday night at Stony Brooks University Hospital after recovering from a heart attack only last month. His friend Gerald Blum said of Brooks,

“He was known for being truly American. Everything was truly of his thinking..very easy, simple designs that have stood up to the test of time.”
