This months issue of Ebony celebrates the influence of black professionals in the fashion industry and while the cover is excellent, my ideal line up would have been, Iman, Pat McGrath, Andre Leon Talley and Rachel Roy. Talley is a legend! If you dont believe me read this interview.
As a woman of colour I had certain fears about entering an industry that is predominantly white. It’s only natural. It does help immensely when you have inspirational stories to draw upon so a massive pat on the back to Ebony for this issue. I can’t wait to take a peek inside!

Iman is sooo beautiful! An amazing woman.
Iman is a very powerful woman, inside and out. She has overcome the hardest things in her life, from being a refugee. Now she is a worldwide supermodel.
Go Iman. You are a gem in my eyes .
Rachel Roy is NOT black. She’s indian and white.
Wow, this cover has had so much coverage. Everyone in blogsphere is going on and on about it. I like it, it is ok. Good to see some of the most successful black models of all time on the cover but to be honest it really does not rock my world. I certainly will not be running out to buy it. Besides Tyra and Kimora do nothing for me as I find them both very full of themselves.
