MTV Movie Awards 2008: The Best Of The Gold Carpet

Anyone else tired of the glam outfits that starlets are opting for this season? There is a major fascination at the moment with pretty, romantic mini and one shouldered dresses. Nice but…boring. Which is probably why amongst a sea of predictable outfits, it was SJP and Charlize Theron that stood out for me at yesterday’s MTV movie awards. Both actresses donned elegant looks with an edge.

I know, I know, SJP is an obvious choice, as she rarely gets it wrong. For the awards, she brought her signature style from the SATC movie to the gold carpet: killer boots and a turtleneck mini-dress.

….while Theron (my favourite) looked incredible in a gold corset, skin tight black trousers and a gorgeous pair of heels accessorised with lace arm candy and a patent black clutch. Stunning!
