Diet Coke gets a crystal makeover

4th October 2010 11:48 am

Coca-Cola has had quite the fashionable makeover recently what with Karl Lagerfeld’s Light creation, but if you’re more of a Diet Coke girl, you may just be in luck – cult jewellery designer Johnny Rocket has designed a limited edition collection of Diet Coke bottles.

Using Swarovski crystals and elements, the reknowned jeweller – famous for creating Kylie‘s iconic gold hot pants, no less – has decorated a select number of pink Diet Coke bottles with crystal lips, kisses and flowers exclusively for Selfridges.

“It’s great to be working with diet Coke in a collaboration which combines unique style, and sparkle,” says Johnny. “What better brand to create sparkling creations with than one of the most iconic soft drink brands in the world! I’m thrilled to be getting a chance to get cool and creative with the famous diet Coke glass bottle. The fabulous contours are a perfect fit for my sexy and stylish crystal creations.”

What’s more, you, with the help of Johnny and his creative team, can create your own crystallised bottle when the Diet Coke Crystal Customisation Boudoir opens in Selfridges next week.

Customise it with your name, initials or whatever you see fashionably fit for £5, or, if you’re short on time but still want to bag a piece of haute history, get one of Johnny’s readily designed bottles for a mere £1.50.

See you in Selfridge’s next week – the boudoir opens on Thursday, 14th October for two weeks only.

Stay tuned to hear more from Johnny Rocket next week, we’re chatting to him exclusively to get the low-down on his new collaboration.
