FIRST LOOK: Kate Middleton’s McQueen wedding dress

29th April 2011 11:18 am

It’s here! Kate’s dress is here! And it’s white-ivory! And beautiful! And it’s MCQUEEN!

Ok, we’ll calm down for a second, but seriously, doesn’t she look incredible? After all kinds of speculation (and all kinds of denials, might we add), Sarah Burton did get the commission of a lifetime to design our new princess’s dress, and as we expected, it’s all kinds of amazing.

Long sleeves, lace upper body with an elongated neckline, a fluid ivory & white silk gazar skirt and a modest 2.7 metre train, it’s definitely a Grace Kelly moment.

We’re waiting for better photos to trickle their way online, so we’ll be back with a more detailed analysis of the dress, her hair, and what this means for Kate’s fashion politics soon. Until then, marvel in the McQueen beauty.
