Love or Hate: Christian Louboutin Mago suede platforms

30th May 2011 1:00 am

As far as shoes go, Mr Louboutin is quite the artisan when it comes to design. Never one to disappoint, his creations are always lovingly constructed and defiantly different. As soon as I laid my eyes on this pair, it was love at first sight.

These ‘Mago’ suede and leather platform court shoes are show-stopping. The main body of the shoe is constructed from royal blue suede, offset with a cream nappa leather trim. Oh, and how cool are those metallic blue mirrored toe caps?

The red lacquered sole completes the signature Louboutin look. A 5.5-inch heel is super-high, but these shoes were meant to be noticed anyway, huh?

They are ingenious in the way they’re both classic and idiosyncratic. Wear with wide-leg trousers and a neat blouse for European chic, or team with a quirky little shift dress and retro shades for an altogether more distinctive look.

Far from being just shoes to wear, these are shoes to covet.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
