Maria Sharapova is super slick in McQueen

14th July 2011 12:42 pm

Well, here’s something we didn’t expect to be writing about this morning – Maria Sharapova looking glam and gorgeous in Alexander McQueen.

Still, stranger things have happened. At the annual ESPY Awards in LA yesterday, the tennis champ look super slick in a navy chiffon halterneck dress with an embroidered collar and embroidered feather belt from Alexander McQueen‘s pre-AW11 collection.

We love how she manages to make the unashamedly elegant dress look effortless with an easy up ‘do and soft strands of hair falling naturally around her face. It’s the perfect choice for her shape, too – the halterneck and feathered hips create curves for her boyish frame and show enough flesh to look sophisticated and flagrantly feminine.

She teamed with navy sandals that featured matching gold embroidery and a pre-SS12 jaw skull gold sequin clutch, again from McQueen, to complete a perfectly glamorous look.

Fun, flirty and seriously sexy – that bod! – we’d like to solve a problem like Maria, please.

Does Maria Sharapova wear McQueen well?
