Midweek moodboard: Needing nautical in our lives

2nd May 2012 11:11 am

We’ve all been moaning about the wet and windy weather for well over a week now, and although there’s nothing we can do about it (the weathergods don’t seem to be responding to our pleas right now) we can make the best of a bad situation.

All this unnecessary water has got us thinking about the nautical trend; after all, who doesn’t love the chance to dress like a sailor and embrace the stripes eh?

We only had to cast our minds back to a few weeks ago when Jean Paul Gaultier launched his Diet Coke bottles for some recent inspiration. See – there’s a silver lining to every cloud!

Take a look at some of our favourite nautical pieces dominating the literal and online shelves. We bet you’ll find something you like… and if you’re anything like us, a swift fashion purchase is bound to turn your weather-induced frown upside down.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
