jenniferhudsonsexandthecity.jpgExpect sales of rental designer handbags to go through the roof after the new Sex and the City movie airs.

In a minor spoiler alert, WWD reveals that Jennifer Hudson’s character (she plays Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant) will sport some of the latest, top designer bags throughout the movie and reveals to Carrie that she actually rents them all from bagborroworsteal.com.

This is brilliant endorsement for the popular rent-a-bag site which already has a section dedicated to shopping collections inspired by your favourite Sex and the City character.

Anyone else feel incredibly unfulfilled after watching the Sex and the City film trailer?

Maybe its because we’ve seen most of the outfits already….or maybe its because we were dying for some dialogue between the ladies, but something was seriously lacking! We really hope the movie lives up to the hype.

In more Sex and the City news, apparently plans are in the pipeline for a sequel and if we’re lucky there could even possibly be a third movie.

Love Your Style: Carrie Bradshaw

She’s been the “dahhling” of fashion ever since she hit our screens almost 10 years ago. Her on-off love affair (which the Daily Mail has confirmed is fully ON in the new movie. Yes Carrie finally gets married to Big in what has to be the most decadent of weddings) with Big had us hooked but not as much as her outfits. Now she’s back and still continues to experiment with fashion fearlessly. Love her or hate her, one can’t deny…..the girl has got style!

Oh say it isn’t so! According to Grazia one of our favourite ladies will be laid to rest in the new movie, subsequently killing off the foursome that we’ve grown to know and love. Ahhh! Well I suppose we can console ourselves with the knowledge that Charlotte finally gets pregnant and Big is still looking as handsome as ever!

Fashion addicts can swoon over some of the outfits here. Its great to see that stylist, Patricia Field has ensured that the ladies retain their original style whilst keeping it fresh by incorporating some of the latest trends. Charlotte is still polished and pretty, Carrie as always is ten steps ahead with her quirky ways, Miranda is unashamedly bold (I love her look in the picture after the jump. She looks stunning!) and Samantha is very much the power player.

Back to business…

Wow, hasn’t this holiday break gone by in a flash! It was quick, but relaxing, and I spent most of it, eating, drinking and getting my fashion fix from re-runs of Sex and the City. Oh how I do miss Carrie’s style…..many can criticise but she is and will always be a style icon in my eyes.

And to another icon of style, Kate Moss, - whom I still think doesn’t beat Carrie in the style stakes - the New Year has only just begun and Moss is already stealing the headlines with her possible marriage to Pete Doherty. Apparently the two skinny jean lovers didn’t tie the knot but instead engaged in a Buddhist ceremony.

Anyway back to business, as fashion week will soon be upon us, I thought I’d kick of with some dates for the big players

Couture Week: 22nd – 25th January 2007
New York: 2nd – 9th February 2007
London: 12th -16th February 2007
Milan: 17th February - 25th February 2007
Paris: 25th February – 5th March 2007

In addition Glasgow will be holding their fashion week from the 28th March – 31st March 2007.

The four stars - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - have vowed it is the end of the cult New York series. During its six-year run, Sex and the City has won six Emmy awards and eight Golden Globes. It has commanded an international following, with millions of viewers worldwide.
Its shock value and frank sexual content guaranteed the show big publicity when it began. The on-screen chemistry between the co-stars also won a big female following. Sex and the City parties are being held around the UK to mark the end of an era, the last episode was broadcasted on Friday 19th March 2004.

Sex and the City the movie may be on its way. I seriously can’t believe this show is coming to an end. Its just too sad, but it has done itself justice and ended at exactly the right moment. I’m very sure the film won’t be a let down….cant wait!
also Is Sex and the City Gay?

Even Marge Simpson has recognised the secret to Sex and the City. “That’s the show about four women acting like gay guys,” she said in a recent episode of The Simpsons. She’s always been a thinker, that Marge.

NEVER…how can anyone hate Carrie Bradshaw’s style. The petite actress can get it completely wrong…..but what can be admired is her originality. Yes some do copy her trends, take it overboard and completely ruin them, for example, the corsage. Within months everyone had flowers in their hair, on their tops, and on their trousers till it became worn out. Nevertheless Carrie is a fashion icon!
