Naturally many were looking forward to Ferre’s contribution to womenswear for Spring/Summer 2008 as it marked the final collection the designer worked on before he sadly passed away in June. The collection was completed by his design team and compromised structured figure flattering, easy-to-wear pieces that depicted Ferre’s unique and timeless perspective of fashion.

Models stormed the mirrored catwalk wearing thick-soled shoes that matched the soft earth toned pieces presented and light, loose materials such as silk and cotton featured heavily along with one of autumn’s biggest trends, high waisted, wide legged trousers. It’s been debatable as to who would take over at Gianfranco Ferre however the announcement was finally made after the show and ex Bill Blass designer Lars Nilsson has been appointed the man for the job.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
