When Sarah Jessica Parker met stylist Patricia Field during her Sex and the City days, her love affair with fashion took a passionate turn. She took risks. Some paid off, and some had her banished to those awful worst dressed lists that haunt many a celebrity.

Now that Lucy Liu’s met Patricia Field (Field is the stylist on her latest sitcom, Cashmere Mafia), it appears she’s attempting to take over where Sarah Jessica Parker left off. But will it pay off? Or is she destined for those dreaded lists.

If the Daily Mail is anything to go by, then she’s doomed for the latter!

She can live with Pat Fields and wear all these ridiculous outfits, BUT she’s no SJP. She can never pull it off. She should find her own sense of style. Looks like fashion “roadkill” to me.

Lucy Liu is her own person. I wish people would stop comparing her to SJP because SJP is iconic and although they share the same set stylist, it doesn’t mean Lucy Liu will be the next SJP. SJP is not going ANYwhere. But, every new episode of Cashmere Mafia, I fall in love with Lucy Liu’s style more and more.

SJP is indeed not going anywhere. Eversince Sex and City ended, she had not been able to succeed elsewhere. She’s quite cute, has her own style, but I don’t think she is iconic. I did not like her when SATC first came out, but got kind to like her and the show over time. LL and SJP are different persons, so neither will be each other. I don’t think SJP can be an Artist/painter like Liu.
