Everyones heard of night creams; lotions and potions applied overnight designed to leave skin feeing rejuvenated and replenished the morning after. Well, now there are overnight treatments for your hair too.

Not one for nightime skin creams, I was somewhat sceptical about trying Kerastase‘s Noctogenist Serum Nuit: “the first tailored overnight treatment for dull, tired-looking hair. Promising to soften, renew, shield and even “embellish my hair, I had high hopes of waking up a week later looking like a perfectly coiffed Cheryl Cole.

Responsible for some of the most gorgeous barnets in Hollywood, Kerastase is the go-to for big, beautiful and bouncy hair. So it was with total trust and abandonment that I applied the recommended hazelnut sized amount of hair cream to the lengths and ends of my locks every evening before bed.

At first, I was slightly concerned that the product did not ‘immediately dissolve’ into my hair as promised, and worried I’d wake up the next morning with a lank, greasy mane. However, my concerns were unfounded as I noticed an improvement from the beginning. My hair was softer and had more shape and body than usual; meaning on the second day after washing I didn’t need to restyle my hair. Genius!

After several days use my hair felt stronger than before and has definitely improved in texture. I would recommend this product to anyone with medium-thick hair that is in need of some TLC. At £23.49 (from beautique.com), you must look at this as an investment.
